"Che cosa?" I take my attention off of the men cleaning the blood from the room and look at (y/n), who has been giving me a displeased look while having her arms crossed over her chest for a time now.

"Are you really asking me that?" She narrows her eyes at me. I look at her for a moment, raising an eyebrow, before shrugging confused. (Y/n) huffs, shaking her head. "Did you have to kill him? You didn't need to! Don't you know something like 'scaring and letting them away to tell the others who to not mess with'?"

"Perché? It's better this way, he won't ever mess up with us again!" I say not understanding her point.

"He would tell the others what you did to him and I'm sure people would think twice before doing anything against us." She explains.

"They'll see I killed him and won't get near!" I exclaim. - We're saying the same thing, right? What is she trying to say? - She shakes her head, pinching the bridge of her nose as a breathe is released. "Per favore, explain." I say tired of this.

"Okay." (Y/n) looks up at me. "He had a high rank in the Del Rey gang, didn't he?" She asks and I nod shortly. "So, if you tortured him and thing, at least until he almost died and let him away, he'd run to tell the others. Seeing what you did and to who you did, people would be mostly scared and think twice before risking something with the gang. He'd do the job of scaring the others away for you." She explains and I look at her for a moment, reasoning everything.

And everything she said makes sense.

"Oh." I say. "Oh." I repeat, nodding slowly in realization.

"!" (Y/n) says in a somewhat sarcastic tone, nodding along with me while giving me a face. She sighs, shaking her head and looking away. "And he was from Del Rey, right?"

"Yeah-"

"Wrong. He was from our gang." She furrows her eyebrows, looking back a me with an angry and desperate look, "Did you even read the papers?"

"But why didn't you tell me about that earlier?" I ask. - Hey, I didn't read the papers, just listened to what Taylor said, but well, if she knew about such a thing, she must have told me earlier, right?

"Frank! You're really telling me that?" She asks in a tone of disbelief, throwing her hands in the air. "I've told you that in different forms at least three times! I can't believe you ignored each of them!"

I'm a bit taken aback by her sudden outburst - I swear I didn't hear her saying that - but decide to speak up, "Belle, I-"

"Don't belle me!" She interrupts me, in an angry but still not loud tone. More like an scolding, serious voice. I don't really know how to react to that so I just stand there watching her outburst. "You're complaining everything is going downhill but have you noticed that maybe you're contributing to it too? You hired me specifically for helping with strategies and opinions but you don't listen to them! Third time it happens! It's like you have a glass of water in front of you but insists in continuing thirsty!"

If it was any of the other workers, I would be mad.
Even if it was the closest one or the guy I didn't even know they recruited, I'd immediately ask someone to cross them out or something.
However, I found myself without reaction before her.

"I'm not going to be mad or something, I'm just doing my job and listen, per favore, at least this time." She says, leaning forward a bit. "Pay more attention to the things. Not everything is aim and kill." (Y/n) looks at me for a moment before walking away sighing. "I'll be at the car." I could hear her muttering.

And I'm left standing there. ... Confused. No, not that I don't understand how did it happen - I bet (y/n) would forget every risk and punch the shit out of me if I didn't - but because I'm surprised with everything. With both reactions; hers and mine. I don't want to do anything to her because of her words - I mean, I agree with what she said; (y/n) kinda woke me up, threw a bucket of ice on me, got me back to reality. I'm feeling stupid right now. Many better options I could've taken and times I could've listened her but oh well, not mentioning I need to check the facts before taking any decision.
