Chapter 2

IT WAS A LOT OF PRESSURE. Thankfully my turn was done I admit I was getting rusty when it comes to fighting I don't think I'll make it to the final list. Freya was very graceful showcasing her skills with the sword and it awed everybody in the room. There was this girl with a white hair that had an incredible skills with her bow and arrow I'm almost certain that she's going to be part of the league. I should've practiced before coming here now I made myself look like fool in front of everyone.

"Hanabi, how did I do?" Freya nervously asked.

"You were amazing Freya! What you getting all nervous about?" I assured her.

"Well its just different than the actual thing you know I wish we could've fought someone instead of trying to act like were fighting someone"

And it was almost like the managers of MLB were listening to our conversation

"The second part of the try outs is the Duel but first we will announce the list of names that made it to the second round."

Here it is the moment where I finally go home and leave this place and leave all the embarrassment behind. The lady with glasses that looked like she was on here 30's started out calling names

"...Yuhi, Reiko, and the last one Charlotte."

Freya and I looked at each other in shocked that none of our names got mentioned or even just Freya's because I was sure she would have made it through her skill showcase and that girl with a white hair and her arrows wasn't called out too.

"The names that I just called out, thank you for taking the time to come in here today but unfortunately you weren't able to fit the cut. MLB does hope that you train more and see you next tournament. For those who weren't called follow me please."

What a huge relief but I didn't expect to make it since I know my performance wasn't that good. Freya sighed and gripped my hand tightly.

"We got this!" She assured me. and I nodded back in response.

It was the second half of try outs and everyone that passed was in the room. I tried not to look for you know who but my eyes seems to have a life on its own. Locking my gaze was someone familiar. It wasn't Hayabusa but the guy from the Italian Restaurant yesterday that smiled at me. I didn't know why I was embarrassed but I looked away as fast as I can and he doesn't seem to mind maybe he doesn't remember me or maybe he was smiling at a different person in the same direction as me. Foolish Hanabi, 3 years later and I'm still naive.

"Oh my gosh I'm first in line" Freya squeezed my hand a little too hard that it snapped me back to reality

"You got this, just show 'em what you can do." I tried to comfort her with my words but I can feel her hands were too cold.

We were inside this huge dome that almost looked like a soccer field, I guess it was a soccer field and Freya's opponent was a huge girl with a tan skin and a red hair she had a very strong build and I'm ashamed to say I'm scarred for Freya. Then the man with a bald hair tapped on the mic and started announcing their names.

"One the right side of the corner we have our fighter Freya and on the left of the corner Hilda now on the count of three your match will begin 1... 2.... 3!"

"I'm sure Hilda's going to nail it." I heard a man's voice behind me speak

"Who knows, the blondie might have some surprising skills." A lady replied.

I turned to check the faces of the two people chatting behind my back and there stood a man with a long platinum blonde hair that was quite curly on the ends, he was beautiful that his features almost seemed woman-like. Beside him was a medium blonde hair girl who was also pretty and she wore a purple dress that seemed to match her make up. The man caught me looking and he raised an eyebrow I replied with a slight smile and gladly he smiled back.
It wasn't long before the medium blonde hair girl noticed the locomotion she looked backed and fort to me then to the man beside him. I didn't wanna seem like I was flirting with the man so I decided to speak up.
