2- The Crush on the Red Head

Melody's POV

"Betty go find a booth I will be right back" I tell Betty and she nods and walks off to a booth. Slowly I walk over to Archie's table. The raven haired girl is looking at me as I walk over. I finally reach their table and ruffled Archie's hair.
"Sup Archibald." I say.
"Mel? It is actually you?" He asked.
"Yes it's me. You're like the fifth person to ask me that." I say giggling. He stands up for his chair and hugs me. The hug lasts for a few seconds. Before we hear someone cough. We let go and look at the Raven haired girl.
"Oh sorry Ronnie. This is Melody. Kevin's sister." Archie introduces me.
"Veronica Lodge." She says putting her hand out to shake. I shake it and say
"Melody Keller." I smile.
"Mel. Veronica is my girlfriend." Archie said. Once he said girlfriend my heart broke. I have always had a little crush on Archie. No one knew that but Kevin. Kevin promised not to tell anyone.
"That's great Arch. You finally found someone." I say fake smiling.
"Now if you excuse me I need to go find Betty." I say starting to walk away. But before I fully walk away I hear someone.
"Why don't you and Betty come sit with us." I turn around and it's Veronica that said it. I shrug.
"I will ask Betty one sec." I say walking to Betty.
"Veronica wants us to sit with her and Archie." I say sitting down across from her.
"Let's go sit with them and talk for a little. Especially since you probably want to talk with Archie more."  Betty says wiggling her eyebrows. I blush right away.
"I-I d-don't know what your talking about." I say looking down trying to hide my face.
"Don't think I Don't about your little crush on Archie. It's obvious. I'm surprised he doesn't know." Betty says smirking.
"Is it really that obvious?" I ask
"Yeah it is." She says laughing.
"Shut up you can't talk." I say starting at her.
"Fine let's just go over." She says starting to get up.
"Fine." I groan getting up. We both walk over to Archie and Veronica. Instead of making them Scoot over I just climb over the seat. And that seat happens to be Archie's. So I'm sitting next to Archie and Veronica scooted over so Betty can sit next to her. Betty smirks at me and I just give her the death glare.
"So Mel, How was it like traveling the world?" Archie asked.
"It was pretty good. Made some great friends and got some cool things." I said sighing. I did miss traveling. The adrenaline it gave you when you went somewhere new. But I came back because I missed everyone.
"Any Boys?" Veronica asked wiggling her eyebrows. I laugh she is just like Kevin she loves the gossip.
"There was a couple but there was one specific guy." I say looking down.
"Details?" Betty says.
"Well his name was Justin Miller. We were dating about a year and a half. I would say I was in love with him until I found something out." I say sniffling. They all looked at me sympathetically even tho they didn't even know what the thing I found out was. They were all quiet so I decided to go on.
"Turns out he cheated on me and knocked up some girl and now he has a child." I say a tear running down my face. Yes I know I didn't tell Kevin that he had the child. I didn't want him to worry about me anymore then he already does.
"Omg Mel that's terrible." Archie says wrapping him arm around my shoulders pulling me in for a side hug. I blush a little but no on noticed. He let go and I could tell Veronica was giving us a death stare. She was the jealous type and I could already tell.
"Hey but I the bright side I don't have to see him anymore." I said. But I was so wrong. They all just nod. For a couple hours we were talking about anything teenagers would talk about. Then my phone rang my dad was calling me.
"One second guys." I say going over the seat and outside.
"Hey Dad. What's up?" I ask.
"There is a boy here to see you." He said. What a boy here to see me. Then I thought. Wait no he couldn't know where I live.
"What's his name?" I asked getting worried.
"Um I think Justin Miller." He says. Oh no he is really here.
"Okay dad just tell him to wait there until I get home." I say on the verge of crying.
"Okay sweetie love you bye." My dad said.
"Love you too dad bye." I say and then with that I hang up. I fall to my knees and ball my eyes out. I hear Pops doors open and people hug me.
"What's the matter?" Betty asks.
"He's here." I said sniffing and still crying.
"I thought I wouldn't see him again." I said.
"Let's get you up and fix up your makeup and show him what he is missing." Veronica says. I nod and get up.
