LaLu: Lucy leaves the guild

the Lawyers are back

when he made it inside he didn't try to put her down. he just continued to carry her and then he sat in the living room. he was about to say something to her when he realized she was asleep. he smiled down at her and leaned back against the couch. he closed his eyes and focused on her breathing. after a minute he fell asleep. freed and evergreen spent hours wandering around the rooms and Bixlow was just drinking until the sun came up. when they realized how long they had spent in the rooms they came out and they saw each other and they all shook their heads. then evergreen said, "Where could Laxus and Lucy be?" freed and Bixlow shrugged and they wandered around trying to find them until they wandered into the living room and found them in the same position they had been in last night. evergreen took a picture and then pushed the guys out. it went on like that for several weeks. they came over for dinner, his team went to the rooms because they were still finding new stuff, and Lucy held him to his promise by making him dance with her out in the garden, of course she never had to twist his arm to much to get him to dance with her. and then they came inside. Lucy somehow always ended up asleep on his chest. it was those days that he got the best sleep. the team has gotten used to it by this point. they walked into Lucy's house one Saturday and they found her in her office looking exhausted and she looked up at them and said, "i don't think i am going to be able to do dinner tonight." they were confused and freed asked, "What's wrong?" Lucy sighed and said, "I am just busy. a few things happened this week with the company. it is nothing for you to worry about." they gave her a look but she was already back into her paperwork and evergreen said, "you promise you are OK?" Lucy smiled at her and said, "I am fine ever. don't worry. if you want the cooks are still here from the brunch i had with my lawyers earlier. they can make you all something to eat." they nodded and walked out. Laxus stayed where he was and he walked around her desk and pulled the paperwork from her hand and placed it on the desk then said, "Tell me what is actually wrong." Lucy looked at him and then she let her head fell back and she said, "remember that lawsuit from the council?" Laxus nodded and she said, "Well they are trying to convince the bank to freeze my account. they are trying to take away my business because i wouldn't let him hurt makarov." she looked distraught. he raised an eyebrow then picked her up and sat in her seat. he pulled his coat around her and she just laid her head on his shoulder. it was just something they did now. she sighed and said, "What if the banks actually do it. i could lose everything." Laxus pushed her so she was facing him and he said, "they won't. if they freeze your assets, then so many companies in magnolia will get shut down the bank would go bankrupt. you own everything in magnolia Lucy heartfilia. they can't possibly take that away from you." she nodded and then moved his hands from her shoulders and laid her head back down while mumbling, "i was comfortable." he chuckled and just wrapped his arms around her. they sat there for a while and then she said, "Sparky, thank you." he was confused why she was thanking him and he looked down at her. she smiled at him then said, "For being there for me when i need it." he shook his head and leaned his head back.
