How much it would matter if they were taken away
How much it would hurt us
How it would shred and rip us to pieces
Our souls stained eternally
Our hearts never mend but get shredded into smaller pieces
That pain that comes from it lasts and never leaves and is a constant reminder
To be on our guard
To always keep a watch
Always trusting
Always giving
To much heart even though little remains
You put your all into someone and something even after being torn
But thats the thing with hope
It comes and goes
It never lasts
But returns
Its hope
