Penny woke up. No, she wasn't awake. She was dreaming. She was in her backyard, laying in the grass with her dad. Mom opened the sliding glass door and came out with a pitcher of fresh lemonade and a few lemons cut into slices. The sky was a pale peach and the sun was setting on a beautiful afternoon. Then, a boy appeared. He looked about Penny's age, a bit taller than her too. Penny listened to what he said. "I'm going to meet you soon, and you will meet me." "But this a dream!" "You will meet me. But the most important thing is the stars. They are going to go missing. You can help the world, Penny. It is you, you will find them." He handed her a little blue box, then he disappeared. "WAIT! COME BACK! WHERE WILL I MEET YOU?! WHO ARE YOU?! WHERE DO I GO?!" Then she woke up.
Penny found herself lying in her own, warm, fuzzy bed at home. Not a hospital. Home. Penny's head hurt when she sat up, so she just laid back down. She thought about the moment that just came to her. Her arm felt numb so she reached up to stretch it, but when her arm stretched back down, a shock of pain came to her elbow as if she had hit something wooden. Small and wooden. Something hard. Under her blanket.
