The sun shone through Penny's blinds, birds sung their songs outside, and the fresh smell of mom cooking bacon, pancakes, and eggs filled the air with a sweet, delightful smell.
As Penny skipped downstairs she heard tools clattering on the garage floor and the bubbling of the huge fish tank sitting under a big wide screen TV. "Dad? Is that you making such noise? Blimey, you'll wake up Max next door! You know how Max gets when you wake him up with anything-" Penny began to speak in a rude English man's voice. "Disturbing!" She heard mom chuckle from a distance in the kitchen and Penny walked out and stood in the doorway of the garage and watched her dad toss around tools here and there at the engine of the car. "Just a bit of a kink, that's all." Penny washed her hands at the kitchen sink. Everyone exchanged looks for a second, then sat down. All of the sudden Penny was afraid of something she didn't understand about her parents.
After the odd moment, Penny walked up to her room and sat down at her desk uneasily. Her hands and legs trembled. Her eyes watered. Her mouth went dry. Her tried to yell, but she just couldn't choke the words up. Just a moment later her mother walked in, and saw Penny just sitting there. Doing nothing. She touched Penny's shoulder and her body fell over onto the floor. Tears were streaming down her face. Her arms, legs, hands and feet were numb. "DOCTOR!" Her mother screamed. "DOCTOR!!!"
