one

to say kim seungmin was special was an understatement. seungmin was beyond special, he had this ability which allows him to see how many days a person has left before they die.

whenever he saw someone whose number was below ten, he got scared. to say the least, this ability frightened yet intrigued him.

the school gate welcomed him as it shone from the sun rays bouncing off the glimmering silvery metal. seungmin gripped harder onto his backpack that was filled with all his necessities needed for school.

seungmin was in high school. he had three friends, not too many. to put it simply, seungmin was an antisocial kid. he still remembered how he would deny any chance he had to meet new people. his friends, han jisung, lee felix and yang jeongin found it quite concerning sometimes when seungmin didn't want to meet anyone who wasn't them. there are mainly two reasons to it — one, he doesn't want want to give a bad first impression like he has to people that have came into his life and immediately slipped out, and two, he really can't be bothered. seungmin much prefers to study, ironically, or read a book. he's anti-social for other reasons, too.

seungmin walked forth into school with caution, being sure to put his head down as an indication that he did not want to talk to anyone.

"kim seungmin!" was all seungmin heard before his body crashed into someone else's. fuck. was all he thought as he looked up and met eyes with who he had bumped into — seo changbin.

changbin was the infamous school bully along with his two other friends, lee minho and bang chan. changbin was cold and he would fight anyone that got into his way.

seungmin remembered that one time where he had to approach changbin for his homework. "who the fuck are you?" the elder spat. seungmin then concluded that it's probably a good idea to not be the first one to approach changbin. he is really cold and tends to give people a bad first impression because he always seems like he's having a bad period or someone took his boba tea, when in actual fact, he isn't. but of course, no one knew that other than his friends. changbin acts like that at first because of the shit he's been through, but when you see him opening up to you then he's a true sweetheart and someone you'd want to keep around you for lifetime. changbin never actually bullied anyone, it was rumours and sadly, everyone believed them.

seungmin shuddered as he suddenly recalled the last time he had an incident with changbin. jisung and felix immediately rushed over to their friend's side, pulling him away from changbin.

seungmin was lost in thought. he caught a glimpse of changbin's number above his head. "eleven."
