"Betty! Where on earth have you been?!"
Alice shouted as Betty made her way upstairs. After a great night with Toni, she didn't want her mother to ruin the rest of it.
"Elizabeth, I know you heard me." Her mother says angrily.
"I got distracted at the Blue and Gold." She lies, taking off her jacket. "I'm sorry."
"It's late, get some rest for tomorrow." She tells her, earning a nod from Betty.
She rolls her eyes as her mother shut the door. Her phone rings again, the unknown caller lights up the screen.
"Hello Betty. I've seen you and Veronica have went your separate ways, good work."
Betty scoffs, shaking her head. "Whatever it is, whoever you are...I'm getting down to the bottom of this."
"Not easily, it'll take time." He starts. "And during that time, you'll continue to do as I say."
"Who are you?!" She yells before he hung up.
Betty sat down on her bed, tears flowing out from her eyes. "I've gotta find him."

Toni asks, breaking the silence in the room. They've been hiding out in the Blue and Gold all morning, already skipping two periods that day.
"I don't wanna leave yet." The blonde says, not moving from her spot on Toni's lap.
Toni stroked her blonde locks softly, gazing down at the view below her. "Can you please tell me what's going on?"
"I can't." Betty begins to explain. "I don't wanna lose you too."
"And you're not." Toni says confidently. "Who's this other person you're talking about?"
"Veronica and I...we got into a fight. Our friendship is over."
"I'm sure you guys can make u-"
"We can't...we won't." She tells her, wiping tears away.
Toni holds her hand, giving it a small squeeze. "Why not? I'm pretty positive you and V can g-"
