Betty asks, walking around in circles trying to find an answer. Toni sat on the bed, watching the blonde before letting out a small sigh. "Betty, you've been at this for too long. Why don't you take a break?"
"Toni, are you hearing yourself?! I can't afford a break. I can't lose someone else to this psycho!" The blonde explains. "Especially not you."
"Betty-"
"Just leave me alone Toni...I was dumb to even bring you into this."
"You don't mean that...besides I'm here to help you Betty. I'm-"
"You're what? Sitting here, judging my every move and think I'm wasting time since another person's life is at risk?!?! The door is right there Toni."
"It's my house..."
"Then I'll happily show myself out." Betty tells her, shoving her lightly as she left Toni's home.
"Betty wait!" She shouted, a bit louder than expected, but getting the girl's attention.
"I'm sorry, I just.." The blonde stared at Toni, waiting for her to continue. "I don't want you to get hurt. You mean so much to me...more than you'll ever know."
"Toni.."
"You don't have to apologize. I was the one in the wrong here." The pink-haired girl admits, smiling softly at the blonde.
A smile appeared onto Betty's lips, her face glowing beautifully in Toni's eyes. "Now let's find out the truth about your mother."

"Popcorn?"
Later that night, Toni and Betty ended up watching a movie together on the couch, taking a break from solving the big mystery.
The blonde nods as she snuggled up in one of Toni's blankets since it was getting pretty chilly. The pink-haired girl brought over the popcorn, sitting the bowl between the two of them.
Toni looked over a couple times, wishing there wasn't a gap between them, but she didn't pay too much attention to it. Eventually, Betty ended up closing her eyes, her head resting on Toni's shoulder. The serpent turned off the tv once the movie ended, smiling at the beautiful person who rested on her.
She slowly stood up from the couch, careful not to hurt Betty. Heading to her room, Toni grabbed a couple pillows and an extra blanket before going back into the living room. She made a small pallet for herself on the floor and added a pillow under Betty. The blonde turned a bit while sleeping when Toni put a pillow under her, making Toni giggle softly.
"Goodnight cutie."
