Mia's pov

------------

After India and Drake's 'special' moment we finally made it to class.

Luckily we were all in the same lesson so we didn't need to split up. Unfortunately, we had to explain something about our self!

That is what I hated about new schools.

Knowing that the school was completely werewolf I said that my name was Mia and that I was a white wolf.

However, this lead to envious and lustful looks from other students, weird much? Ignoring the stares from around the room, I plopped down in a seat at the back.

After an extremely boring lecture about how amazing Albert Inestein was, we finally emerged from the stuffy science room.

Only to discover that my next lesson was Maths- by my self! (I HATE maths!) I mean seriously, when will I need algebra and equations in real life? Answer that google!

Anyways, Drake and India quickly dropped me of at the hell room before running of to their lesson; Lucky beggars had all there lessons together!

As soon as I stepped in the class the scent of my mate hit me. It was so enticing, and mysterious.

My eyes scanned the room until they rested on a black haired boy with lightly tanned skin, he was extremely toned and had the most amazing eyes- they were an icy blue rimmed with a sea blue- it was beautiful.

But one word summed him up better than anything else.

Fit.

I continued to stare at him for several minuets before the old teacher behind me cleared his throat.

He told me to go to the seat behind my mate, I hesitantly walked to my allocated seat and sat down. My eyes never leaving him. God those arms arm huge!

Snap out of it Mia! Just go and sit down!

As soon as my body hit the plastic chair, my mates head snapped up, nose in the air, and he turned around.

His gaze stopped me on and he mouthed "Mate." silently, I retuned it with a smile.

To my dismay his face turned sad and cold before he looked at me longingly and turned around.

My wolf howled in sadness and I felt my heart rip in two as he ignored me. Why! Why is he ignoring me!

It was not supposed to go like this!

He was supposed to sweep me into him arms and whisper sweet nothings in my ear! Then we were supposed to hold each others hand, get married have pups!

Why does nothing ever go my way? I ranted to my self before I felt a voice In my head.

"Sorry." a deep cold voice spoke. I knew it was my mates. I frowned, looking at him I saw his eyes had turned yellow and his eyebrows were knitted together in frustration.

I also noticed that his nails were elongated in to claws, was he angry?

At me? I growled.

Of course!

I wasn't good enough for him, I wasn't dazzling like him. I didn't have amazing blue eyes or long tanned legs, no I was normal! Not enough for a god like him.

But why had he said sorry?

Thoughts swirled around in my head until i couldn't take it any more, so i did the thing I did best.

I ran.

I Ran out of the room, sprinting though the winding corridors and as soon as I was out of the doors I shifted into my wolf. Feeling better as my skin grew fur, and my bones cracked and changed.

My clothes fell around me but I didn't care, I kept running until I was well into the forest.

Not even stopping to admire the greenery, or the huge boar that scampered past me, I ran endlessly.

I must have ran miles when I lifted my furry head in the air, and howled.

Damon's pov

-----------------

It hurt me more than anything before when she ran out of the class. It felt like my heart had been ripped out my chest!

How could she do that, she just found out I was her mate and she walked out?! Why did she do it?

Then realisation struck me me like a slap to the face, she thinks I rejected her.

When I ignored her, after she smiled at me, I felt her pain.

That's why I mind linked her sorry, thinking it would help but, obviously, it only made it worse.

I guess that explains why she ran out, she must have so confused!

I took all my strength not to run after her.

Only slow, deep breaths helped, but when I heard her sorrow filled howl I could not control my wolf any longer and I dashed out the school.

As soon as I passed the first tree I shifted. My wolf, happy to be out, bounded towards the scent of my mate.

I ran and ran until I reached a lake, I dipped my parched tongue into the fresh water and lapped it up gratefully.

I was just about finished when I felt a pair of eyes on me. Burning into my back.

I stiffened, ready to fight, and spun round.

But, instead of being faced with a hunter, I came nose to nose with a pure white wolf!

Mia's pov

--------------

I was about to head home when I saw it. An amazing black and white wolf!

Never have I seen a mixed wolf before, never mind the mythical black and white one!

While staring at the fine creature, a wonderful scent hit my nose. The scent of my mate.

I frowned, why was out here? Was he... Looking for me? As quick as the thought entered my head, I shook my wolfy head, getting rid of the thought.

No don't be silly! He probably just wanted to blow off some steam, I told my self, a deep inside me I knew I was wrong.

While debating with myself the wolf must have sensed my presence because he spun round at brake neck speed!

So we stood there- nose to nose, staring into each others eyes. I could not rip them away from his gaze, that was until his voice entered my brain.

"Hey," he breathed in my mind.

"Hi!" I replied dreamily, "umm, my names Mia." Damn bet he thinks I'm a right dumbo!

"Damon." he said gruffly "I don't believe we have had a formal introduction, I am alpha of the whirl wind pack." oh.

"But, but my dad he- he said you were a broken man?" oh god why did I ask that?!

He flinched at my words before chuckling coldly "I guess I an really." ok I don't get it!

"I. I don't understand?" I stuttered,

"Look Mia please stay away from me!" he begged pain clear in his eyes "Please? Before you get hurt." he whispered the last, before turning around and sprinting out of site.

I stood there. Shocked and hurt. What could he mean?

I didn't know but I sure as hell am gonna find out!
