Chapter 5

Chapter five:

Levi's POV:

I got a txt from Eren about two hours after i told him goodnight.

Lab Rat: Hey, Levi.

Me: Didn't you just say you'll see me tomorrow?

Lab Rat: yeah but I had a question for you. Hanji is going to be out of town for a couple days and I was wondering if after you help me clean, then maybe do you want to sleep over at my place?

Wait. He wants me to come over? This is going to be fun.

Me: Sure. So I guess i'll see you tomorrow morning.

Lab Rat: great! See you tomorrow!

I closed my phone and smiled to myself looking up at the ceiling.

"Oh. My. God." I say out loud. Then I got up out of bed and started packing my clothes. I haven't been this excited for something since those cleaning products were on sale!

Eren and I walked to the lab in a comfortable silence. It was a lot closer to the school than I expected. The building was two stories tall and made up of ninety-fie percent tinted window and five percent white brick. It was a very nice building.

We walked through the automatic glass doors and I was met by a blast of cold air, nearly knocking me down. Eren chuckled when he caught me.

"Come on Levi, I could have sworn you couldn't be beaten by most of the football team. Let alone a blast of air." I rolled my eyes.

"yeah, whatever. Thanks anyway brat."

Eren greeted a woman at the front desk. She obviously knew who Eren was. "who's this, Eren?" she said smiling. Then she made an excited gasp. "Is he your boyfriend?!" she asked excitedly.

Wait. Eren's gay?

He blushed and took the key card she was handing to him. "N-no. This is Levi. H-he's just a friend." ouch.

She nodded and smirked at him. "Got it. Good luck with your research today." she said waving as we walked away.

Eren was still blushing as we walked into the lab. Looking around the room, I noticed that if I touch any of the equipment in here, I could easily break it and it would be even more costly than that vase that Haruhi broke in episode one of Ouran Highschool Host Club.

What? I can't watch anime every once in a while? I mean, don't YOU have a secret pastime? No? It's just me? Shit.

I stood in the corner, far away from any of the equipment for about five minutes when Eren walked over to me.

"Levi, you can come over and sit next to me while I work." I look at him curiously. "I-uh- I mean only of you want to." he was blushing again at this point. Oh my god he's adorable.

"sure." I say simply. He smiles at me brightly. "okay!" then I follow him to a couple of stools.

I watched him work for a couple of hours until it was dark then we cleaned. The place really is huge so it's no wonder why it took him four hours to clean on his own. But with my help today, we were done within an hour and a half. We returned the key to the woman, whose name I discovered to be Terry, and walked out the door.

The street lights were all flickering, sending an eerie light upon the alley ways. Eren visibly stiffened. I wonder if he's afraid of the dark? He had an anxious expression on his normally cute face. "Hey, are you alright?" Eren shook his head slowly and began to walk quickly. I kept his pace, reading the signs that said he just wanted to get home as soon as possible.

Eventually after about fifteen minutes of speed walking, we arrived to the house, out of breath. He fumbled to get his house key into the key hole. I grabbed his hand and looked him in the eyes. "It's okay. Just take a deep breath." I said to him. He did so and I took the key out of his hand, never breaking eye contact, and unlocked the door.

"Thank you." he said quietly, walking through the door and turning on the light. My eyes widened at what I saw. It seems he was just as shocked.

"What. The. Actual. Fuck." Eren said. This is the first time I've heard him curse. It was almost as surprising as the scene itself.
