It all began on my 8th birthday, May 13 of 1987. My parents couldn't afford much, my father had just lost his job at the factory. Mother had asked me if I wanted presents or a birthday party. Of course, being 8, I chose a birthday party.
When my birthday came around, my parents packed up me and my 6 friends into our beat up old minivan. Oh, how excited I was. My parents had reserved a spot at the most popular pizzeria in town, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.
The restaurants main source of entertainment was the 4 beloved robots, Chica the Chick, Bonnie the Bunny, Foxy the Pirate Fox, and the main character Freddy Fazbear the Bear. At the time, Foxy was my favorite.
When we had arrived at the pizzeria, my friends and I raced into the building. Our waitress lead us to a room filled with party tables and a huge stage in which the animatronics performed on. She then took our orders and left.
You see, Foxy only came around once an hour, so I had to wait a while before I got to greet my idle. Finally, after an hour of listening to Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy sing boring songs, Foxy came into the room. He had looked so real! Of course, he had a slight stiffness, but every animatronic has that.
Apparently, my friends had also been waiting for the ol' pirate, because when they saw Foxy, they went running with me. According to the flyers, Foxy was supposed to reply to anything you asked him. So, being only a child, I decided to ask him something.
"Do you like ponies?" I asked him.
The robot paused, but then smiled and began talking in a robotic tone.
"If you like ponies, then I like ponies!" He exclaimed.
Seeing how Foxy had replied to me, my friends began blurting out random things. I guess that that was too much for Foxy's animatronic motherboard, because something happened that was completely unbelievable.
"I love you Foxy!" My best friend Cherie had purred, hugging Foxy tightly.
Suddenly, sparks and smoke started to arose from Foxy's body. He then began to malfunction, and his top canines bit right into Cherie's head.
I don't know what had happened next, my mother had pulled me away, screaming. I was only a child then, I had thought that Foxy was giving her a kiss. All I know is less than 5 minutes later the sounds of ambulances were filling the room. My mother told me to stay with my father, and she went out to check on Cherie. When I turned around, I saw my father, his face pale as can be.
"Are you okay daddy?" I had asked him.
"Where did your friends go?" He exclaimed.
I looked around, and he was right. My other 5 friends had completely disappeared.
We never did find my friends that day. They put up missing posters, but still no signs. Soon, they suspected the kidnapping as a murder. They arrested some dude 2 years later, they had seen him with my friends, talking to them.
Cherie survived, but was never the same. She became basically brain-dead.
Many people think of this day as an accident. All a coincidence. But I think not. There was something going on behind those stage curtains. Something not right.
That day was 27 years ago. My name is Annie Lancaster, and I am dead set on finding out what Freddy Fazbear has up his sleeve.
