"Step away from the v-vehicle s-sir" said Ross shakily
I could tell, he wasn't the only one that was scared.
The figure then rose up, we stood in shock and got tense, just to be ready for what was going to happen. It went running at us, Ross and I both reach for our guns, but this thing was fast, really fast. By the time we pulled our guns out he was already near us. It looked like it had some claws and it tried to attack us, I dodged and grabbed his trench coat, but Ross wasn't so lucky, he was flung around the floor with claw marks on his stomach.
"ROSS!" I shouted
I pulled with all my night on the creatures trench coat. He didn't seem to attack me, he was just standing there looking at Ross, it's almost like it wanted to tell him something. I used my legs to kick him off me and I manage to take the trench coat off completely. I looked at the trench coat, I thought I heard a it rip but it was completely fine. I looked back at the dark figure but he wasn't there, it was just a man laying on the ground, I couldn't make out his face as it was covered by the darkness.
I grabbed my cuffs and was about to arrest him, until the swat team came down as fast as they could and took the person prisoner. I ran to Ross and helped him up, I grabbed a first aid kit and wrapped bandages on the claw mark. It looked like he stopped bleeding once he hit the ground. He began to regain consciousness, and woke up.
"W-what happened?" He asked
"We got him, don't worry, our mission is completed" I assured him
For the rest on time while things cooled down in the neighborhood, we where questioned to what happened. But the person who was questioning us wasn't out captain, it was some guy in a black blazer with a dark blue tie. He began asking us questions about, how many doors there where, what did Karen looked like, and if a trench coat went missing. All questions that we were going to tell him about, but he already knew, strangely. We answered him and we where about to leave until he stopped us in our tracks.
"Where going to need that trench coat, to keep it in safe hands..." He said a bit aggressively
Ross responded to him in a lighter tone
"We need to take this back to the police station so out csi and our detective Larson west can exam this and then we will be sure to give it to you"
Larson west? Who is Larson west, our old detective, his name was Joe Stanford, but he retired a year ago, just when I started to work at the station. Was Ross making this up?
Ross then grabbed my hand and took me in our police cruiser, and tossed the trench coat in.
We drove off and where on our way to the police station. We just had to cross this woodland area. It was silent, almost the way there.
"Jack sure is crazy" He blurted out
"Jack?" I looked at him in confusion
"Who's jack?"
"The person who owned that weird house" He said confused
"No that was a lady name Karen, are you okay?"
I believed that the craziness has gotten to him, but he grabbed my wheel, and stared at me
"Turn... back" He said with a devilish voice
"What are you doing?!?" I yelled at him
I took back the wheel, but the made the car turn and crash in the woods.
I got out of my car, my hands bleeding due to the glass cuts.
Ross perfectly fine, grabs me by my caller lifts me up and he starts mumbling. He started bleeding rapidly out of his claw mark the creature impaled him with. What he was saying.., it almost sounded like gibberish. I couldn't understand a word he was saying. He started bleeding more rapidly. Then I started to make out what he was saying.
"Don't take the trench coat, or else you'd live a life of pain and reincarnation of oneself. I know I know, the creature told me, don't take the trench coat, or else you'd live a life of pain and reincarnation of oneself. I know I know, the creature told me, don't take the trench coat, or else you'd live a life of pain and reincarnation of oneself. I know I know, the creature told me." He said that over and over again
Suddenly, he dropped me and he passed out on the floor. I got up and went to check his pulse, no beats. I went to put my ear at his heart, and I heard nothing. My heart sank into my stomach, what the hell is going on. I grabbed my phone and tried turning it on, but it was cracked and broken. Shit!, I muttered, I ran back to the road, screaming my lungs out, I called for help. Tired and desperate, I tried to walk back to my car, but I fell to the ground, and went unconscious.
