Horus' eyes slowly fluttered open, and the daylight filtered through his eyelashes.
His head throbbed like a giant balloon, and the moment he touched it by reflex, it palpitated more than it had. Damn, he thought. I haven't been hurt like that in a long time.
He slowly sat up and looked around him. Herin and his crew had already left, so the mountain was unusually quiet, since if it was quiet Ursa was exercising his new power. Hopefully Herin and his peers hadn't already figured how to do that.
Then he remembered Ursa and Aurum. Horus tore off the sleeve of his shirt and wrapped it around his head, placing some ice inside of the sleeve from the snowy floor. He started along the beaten path down the mountain, limping. It won't be so funny once I get my hands on you, Cobalt.
Then he remembered. He had to get on their side to get to Elipse. He knew they would not believe him my words, but having three people, like them, who believed in an ultimate cause...
Maybe that would persuade them. They needed something to fight for. Ursa had Scarlett, Aurum had his father, and Horus... he had ambition to call his gift. Horus' ambition was the only thing powering his limping legs. His ambition would put him at the top of the world. Everything that happened had happened for a reason. He took advantages of the open windows and closing opportunities that sometimes almost left him in the dust. But, his ambition stopped the windows from closing, and everything worked out his way.
Except for the stuff that didn't, which was a sort of stupid way of putting it, but, alas, it was true. Horus was a definite manipulator, but it normally happened for the greater good.
Namely, the multi-trillion population of this planet was in the balance of Elipse, and what she planned to do with it had not been leaked. But, if anyone else were to get their hands on fate by defeating Elipse, which he could never imagine anyone else doing, they would not know of what they possessed, or whom. That was why Horus had to make it through this window.
He limped on, heaving with every step.

Aurum stood at the base of the trail in front of Herin, Cobalt, and Eon.
"I thought you said you never wanted to see us again, Aurum," Eon sneered.
"Change of plans," Aurum responded slyly. "I may not take orders, but I've got a new master." Aurum put his hands on his hips. "And so I cannot let you pass."
A tense silence filled the mountainside that they had all grown used to. The sun was almost setting, and so Herin and his others had to stare with slit eyes at Aurum, who was the only shadow to the sun.
"So be it," Herin said, raising his broadsword. Energy cackled in Cobalt's hands, and power glinted in Eon's eyes.
But Aurum just laughed. "You'll regret this," he simpered, confident and superior.
A blast emitted from Aurum that knocked all three of his enemies face-first into the slushy snow. Herin, slowly shivering and rising off the ground, spoke. "So... if you are an extra, that means I don't have to go easy on you."
Herin's hands rose to Heaven and reached to hell.
The one who stands before me
is my enemy.
truly, the time is nigh,
my enemy shall become blind.
"Aargh!" Suddenly, Aurum's vision turned black and his ears rung like a weak bell. He teetered about like a child, and his balance suddenly led him to crashing into the snow. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his stomach and felt the heat of Herin's breath in his ear.
