A day off Part 2

Damitris Pov:
Once Dekota and I said our goodbyes we headed towards the docks to see the sirens, once we got there Dekota put her hand in the water and it started to glow, "it's still interesting how you let them know where to find you" I said as I watched the water around her hand turn a light emerald green color "not really, I mean you could even do this if you weren't so chicken" Dekota said as she waited to see the sirens "Hey, I'm not a chicken I'm a wolf like you" I said playfully "well yeah I know that but you always hide your ears and tail. Actually why DO you hide them, I mean every wolf in the village shows their ears and tail". She is right, I always do hide them but then again I only have them out during battle "well I just don't really see the need for them in my daily routine, I mean I only really show them in battle since they enhance my hearing" "yeah but still" she said a little pouty for some reason.

Five minutes later

"Hey wolfy wolves" a maroon haired 'mermaid' boy said as he was sitting on the dock "hey Luka, it's great to see you again its been a while" Dekota said as three other 'mermaids' surfaced the water "it's great to see all of you" I said as I sat next to Dekota. "Its great to see you both as well, I'm quite glad we get to see you, since I can see that boh of you have been hard at work within the 3 months we haven't seen each other" the brown haired 'mermaid' said "indeed we have" Dekota said as she adjusted to sit cross legged and that's when I noticed a little green haired girl "Wow is that Leah? it looks like she got the hang of using her power really fast especially for a young siren" I said as she sat near next to me and smiled "Yeah she has, she is even able to maintain this illusion" the orange haired 'mermaid' Loren said "actually I've always wondered, why can't I ever really see your illusion. I mean I can somewhat see it but not fully" Dekota asked with a questioning look, I didn't really know why she said that though "really? well...I guess it has to do with that mark on your shoulder" as Loren said that I didn't really understand what she meant by it "what?" I said as blunt as I could. "Ooooooooooohhhhh right you don't know much about my mark, besides from knowing I was born with it" my lord said once she realized that I didn't know anything about about it.
"Well since you don't really know about it I guess I'll explain it. The mark on my arm goes by many names; the phoenix mark, soul seeker, and the burning mark, all those names pretty much describe what it represents. First the name the phoenix mark, is what it says it looks like, a symbol of a phoenix. The names soul seeker and the burning mark are what they do, if someone bares this mark it means you can see souls and know what someone feels, but this also means you get burned for this." "Wait how do you get burned from it?!" I asked a little to concerned "w-well its not the way you think, its saying that it can do more then just see souls and know what they feel, it can give you strange abilities some good and......some bad. I have experienced both." she says a little saddened "how so Dekota?" Luka asked concerned, "well when you see souls you can see them suffering and know how they truly feel even if you can't see it in there face and one feeling everyones emotions it can greatly affect someone......" Dekota's voice started to drift off into a whisper I could tell she was about to cry "you don't need to tell me more about it, you can tell me when you feel more comfortable, I don't want to force you" as I finished saying those words she wiped her eyes before a tear went down "thank you Damitri. Sorry about that you guys I guess I got a little sappy", even if I can't see souls like her, I can tell she was kinda hurt, her smile was forced a little.

After about what seemed like 5 hours of talking and making jokes we all had to leave to attend to our tribes. Even after talking for 5 hours my Lord's smile was still forced and saddened, so she still must be bothered by the topic of her mark, when she said good and bad does that mean she- "DAMITRI!", just like that my thoughts were interrupted by Dekotas scream "I-I'm so s-sorry my Lord I didn't mean to dose off I'm truly sorry" dammit, I just HAD to stutter "Pffff did you know you get REALLY formal when nervous" uggggghhhh I did NOW, why does she have to know me so well, "you're over reacting again" 'how in the Lord's name did she know I was overreacting?' "did you not listen to what I said before, I can feel other peoples emotions" she said very bluntly. "Well how did you know what I was thinking if you know how someone feels?!?!" I asked kinda shook by what she said "lucky guess", she has got to be kidding me, "well...if that is the case then let's start getting back its getting dark out now" I said as we started heading towards the palace. Even if this tribe is more of Lord's now it did use to be made up of kings and queens.

Once we got back I escorted Dekota to her room, "so tomorrow are you up for training?" I asked as I was about to leave "yeah sure, I'll see you tomorrow." "of course, good night Lord Dekota" I said jokingly as I bowd "haha good night to you Knight Dammit" she said as she curtsied before closing the door. Once she did I started to head towards the knights quarters but before I got there I sensed 2 disturbing presents.
"Oh look who it is, it's the omega boy. You trying to mark the young lord is pathetic "a beta wolf named Issac said cocky, 'ugh not again' "ugh 3 things, 1 what do you mutts want, 2 I'm not trying to mark her and 3 I know you're back there Jackz don't even try to hide" I said as I heard him shuffle in the back "looks like the omega can actually hear properly even without showing his ears and don't even try to hide the fact that you were trying to mark her" Jackz said as he revealed himself "I don't need my wolf ears to hear your stupidity" as I finished saying that Jackz and Issac both got their swords ready to attack me but before they could we heard Lord Domanic "Stand down this instant! This should not be happening even if Damitri is he omega I expect the both of you to behave better, now off you go, and don't ever do anything like this in my presence ever again" "Y-yes my lord w-we won't ever do this a-again, g-goodnight" Jackz and Issac both said in unison as they both ran to the knights quarters.
"Damitri are you alright, you didn't get hurt did you?" before I knew it Lady Ashlie ran up to me checking if I was wounded "I'm alright M'lady don't worry, Lord Domanic made it just in time before anything to serious happened" I said to reassure her so she could stop worrying "well I'm glad you're alright" Ashlie said as she backed up, "Damitri I'm terribly sorry about Issac and Jackz, and for you being the omega" Domanic said apologetic "It's not your fault it's my own for not showing my ears and tail" I said walking off to the training room "Knight Damitri, is it alright if were training with you a little before we head off to sleep?" Ashlie asked "of course."

Dekotas Pov:
Once I closed the door I was bombarded by my maid Lilie "looks like the young Lord has a crush on her Knight~" she said with a smirk on her face "shut up I don't like him he's my guard" I said a little embarrassed "that expression on your face says otherwise" as she said I got super red and started to panic "h-he, he's my k-knight I-I, ugh shut up" I started to head to my wardrobe to change into my sleep attire. Once I was done changing I went to sleep.

3 hours later
I woke up at what seemed like 2 am "grrrr" I heard my stomach grumble witch obviously meant I was hungry "I guess I'll go see what's in the kitchen" before I headed out I changed into more decent clothes since I would always go outside just to see the stars. Once I finished changing I headed out of my room as quiet as I could, I didn't wake up anyone else, 'something smells off, wait is that...OH shit it's mother and father, I need to hide' I stared to hide in the kitchen to hide my sent.

Damitris Pov:
"That was some great training, you really have improved since the last time we went against each other" the Lord said before saying his goodbye and goodnight "Damitri if you want you can get some food from the kitchen if you want something to eat" Lady Ashlie said they both headed back to their room "thank you my Lady, sleeping well." I started to make my way to the kitchen when all of a sudden the smell sent was different 'Huh something smells off, smells of rose bonnets and green apples? Ok there is only one person I know that smells like that' "Dekota I know you're in here, don't worry its just me"

Dekotas Pov:
'Dammit I didn't know Damitri was here cause sniff out anyone, I should have been able to detect it', "alright alright you got me, but what are you doing up this late?" "I should be asking you that you are the young Lord and I don't think anyone would be to happy seeing you gone from your room", he said as he got a piece of cake "yeah that would be the case but I've done this so many times that its just natural for me to be gone, and besides Lilie covers for me. And I can't really fall back to sleep so I'm heading out for a while before anyone else notices I'm gone" as I was saying that I started to try and find the bag I always kept hidden, "found it" I said as I grabbed my bag and started putting some food in it. "Where are you going?" Damitri asked "heading off towards the village, I'll be back before sunrise" I said as I put on my hood "wait can, can I go with you" Damitri asked a little embarrassed "alright but you need to change into something more practically" I said as I pointed at his armor "I guess you're right"
