Omniscient P.O.V

Jaque, Fane, Sage, and Lily lay lifelessly on the meadow grass. Their skin had paled and pools of crimson surrounding then. Gashes cut through their skin in multiple places. Their breaths are short and shallow, while their heartbeats are faint. This scene horrified their grandparents, as they ran from the treeline to each grandchild.

"TRACKERS!" Grandmother Timberwood yelled. Four trackers ran out of the wood into the clearing. They took in the scene, frightened looks playing on their faces. The horrified look is on Luke's face as he is among the four chosen trackers. He looked close to crying.

"You two boys, help grandfather Waters and White carry Fane and Sage. Luke and Caleb, pick up Jaque and Lily. Please be careful, these four are severely injured and we need to get them to the infirmary quickly." Grandmother Timberwood instructed. The trackers nodded and went to their told assignment. Luke and Caleb picked Jaque and Lily up bridal style, while the other two trackers helped the two elder men pick up their grandsons. One holding the legs and another holding the arms.

Luke whistled for the horses and they came galloping at the command. They all mounted with the injured teens and galloped to the Sanctuary.

They arrived at the front door. The four trackers brought the warriors inside while the grandparents brought the horses to the stables. Just as they got through the door, Brooke came flying down the stair happily. She stopped at the sight of her friends condition. Her hands flying to her mouth to silence the gasp that had escaped. Her eyes brimming with tears.

The trackers barged through the infirmary doors and gently set the four on the white beds. Then Chamie came in and got to work.

-3 hours later-

The four grandparents waited anxiously outside the infirmary, worried about their grandchildren's condition in health. It has been three hours since they were brought in. Luke had gone upstairs to comfort Brooke, but to also cry with her. The elders had shed a few tears every once in while. After three hours and fifteen minutes, Chamie came out with a sad expression.

"What's wrong Chamie?" Grandfather White asked worriedly. She gave a sigh.

"Sage, Fane , Lily, and Jaque are stable right now, but are fighting for their lives. The amount of power they used mixed the amount of blood loss. There is no telling if they will make it, especially Jaque. She lost a lot of blood from her first wound. All we can do now is hope and pray that they will wake up and be fine." She explained.

This crushed the grandparents hearts. Hearing the fact that their grandchildren might not make it. They slowly walked in to the four beds, sadly looking at the four teens bruised faces. They are sleeping peacefully, away from pain right now. If they only could see them awake and happy.

-week later-

Chamie's P.O.V

The warriors are showing improvement in their healing. They should awaken soon, but I can't calculate when. My little sister, Brooke has gotten better at seeing her friends this way. I am now going to share the good news to the elders, so they won't have to mourn anymore.
