Chapter 2

Will

Will closed the door softly, and stood there for 15 minutes before he heard someone get up and turn the lights off. Good he thought, maybe Nico will do what I ask of him. He should really be watching his health better. I can't believe how little sleep he gets, Will remembered when he touched Nico's hand. He living off no sleep and no nutrition.

Will sighed to himself and pushed himself away from the door. He knew the son of Hades was hurting inside and he wanted to help, but Nico needed to let him in. Will started walking to another part of the infirmary.

"Hey is there anyone else who needs my help? I just finished getting Nico settled in," Will said, as he sat down at a desk and wrote Nico information and connect the sleeping bracelet using the mist (well he had someone connect Nico's bracelet, since Will can't do magic).

"You just helped Nico settles in?" Austin Lake asked, with a smirk on his face.

"What-what do you mean," Will said a small blush creeping up his face. Do I like the son of Hades? Will asked himself, I mean I want to help him and be around him. I even told him I wanted to be friends. But is there something more? No, snap of it it Solace, you just want to be a good doctor and friend to him, nothing more. Besides, it's not like he wants to be anything more.

"Will. Will. WILL," Austin shouted as Will snapped out of his thoughts. "I've been calling your name for the last 2 minutes. You need to check on patient's 12 and 6 injuries to make sure there healing correctly."

"Okay," Will replied, still a bit dazed.

"Don't worry, you'll be able to go back to your boyfriend when you're done," Austin said smirking still.

Will felt he face get more red. "Austin he's not my boyfriend!"

"Sure he isn't. He's just some guy you want to take care of and be around?" Austin winked at Will as he walked out of the room.

Will sighed to himself, as he shook his head and finished putting in Nico's information. When he was done, he went over to rooms 12 and 6 and planned to, early in the morning, bring Nico breakfast and made sure he ate.

The next morning he grabbed two magic cups two magic plates. Then he walked from the pavilion to the infirmary. He walked to Nico's door and knocked.

"Hey Nico, you decent" Will called. He heard nothing. "Nico!" Again nothing. I swear, if that kid left by shadow traveling and didn't tell me, he's going to be in so much trouble. Will thought to himself as he tried one one time.

"Nico, I'm coming in," Will said as he pushed open the door. At first he thought Nico was gone, it was so dark in the room and nothing was moving.

"Nico?" Will asked again as he turned on the light. He saw a human sized blob under the covers and pulled back the covers to see a disheveled son of Hades under the covers. He sighed in relief, before studying Nico's face.

Wow he's cute, when all the usual lines under his eyes are gone and he looks at peace for once.

"Hey Nico, time to get up," Will said softly, shaking his shoulders.

"No, it's too early and I need my beauty sleep Bianca," Nico mumbled, as he pulled the covers back over his head.

"No, Nico, it's me Will, remember?"

"Bianca, no. NO! Don't leave me please, I don't want you to be a Hunter if Artemis. Don't go."

"Nico, Nico, you're okay. You're okay now. Nothings going to hurt you, I promise," Will said, trying to comfort Nico.

"You promises to protect her. You PROMISED," Nico said, he was trembling now. "I shouldn't have trusted you. You lied to me. I hate you." Nico started sobbing.

Will have Nico a hug and rubbed his back, "shhhhh, you're okay. I got you, you're going to be okay."

Nico awoke with a gasp, and hugged himself. Not responding to Will but not pulling away, Will noticed. Will hugged Nico, until his sobs slowed to a stop.

"Hey, hey, calm down Nico. Do you want to talk about it?" Will asked, pulling Nico closer to him.

Nico seemed to stiffen a bit, as he took a shaky breath and pulled away from Will, so he was across from Will now. His eyes were puppy from crying and he wrapped his arms over his legs, like he was trying to make himself smaller. He took a couple more deep breaths before saying something.

"I'm okay," Nico said, even though it sounded like he was talking to himself. "I can handle it by myself, I always do."

"Nico," Will said sternly. "I want to talk about it, it will make you feel better. I promise, please trust me, it will be okay."

"Don't worry about it, it was just a nightmare about my sister. I'm fine now, besides it not like you would understand."

"Try me," Will countered. "I want to help that is my job description you know."

"To help people spill their guts and be irritated you mean," Nico replied.

Will smiled, knowing that Nico was feeling a bit better, "that's not what I meant, you know that. Why don't we eat breakfast and you can tell me all about your dream."

"But I don't eat," Nico said scrunching his nose.

"Well that's going to change today," Will said cheerfully as he placed one plate in front of Nick and one plate in front of himself.
