While all of those happened, Blue Hills remained the same. The students are still divided between hip hops and metals, and the boys are still playing a lot of Nintendo and Sega and also, NBA and Marvel cards. The lessons are becoming harder, as it’s already the third quarter. Also, as it’s already nearing December, the wind gets chilly in the early mornings and late afternoons, especially in the higher floors. And right now, Monday morning, November 28, most of the gang is in the third floor landing once again.
“Whoa… I’m wearing a blazer but I kind of feel the cold…” said Paolo, “not that much though…”
“Yes…” Kris said, tugging at his blazer “because of these…” And they started the discussion that they’ve had for years again, about those out of place blazers. Although if Kris would be asked, he’ll say the girls look good in those… especially…
“Kim!” Tina called and she came, smiling to the group, completely avoiding Kris though. At that moment, Kris forgot for a while that they are no longer together… seeing her like that… her beauty shining as she smiled as if nothing happened… It was only the cool, or rather ‘no reception’ he got from her that reminded him of the truth. I lost her… I lost someone like Kim… someone I really love…
She went to 3-B with Tina in tow. The boys somewhat pity Tina in her situation. She is Kim’s best friend but she’s still attached to them. They’re thinking that she’s kind of mixed up right now. After a while, Nancy approached the boys and told Kris that he’ll be singing the National Anthem again and Kim would sing the school Hymn in the Assembly later. He knew it would be uncomfortable but he decided to agree, with Kim and him standing so far apart when they went to the stage. This confirmed to their schoolmates, if they still needed it, about their separation.
Classes went on, and by lunch time, the gang (and even Tina) was greeted by a surprise in the canteen.
Kim and JC are sitting in the same table… and they seem to be getting along…
The BANDED gang was stunned, Kris and Tina most of all. They just went on to their usual table, but Tina went to Kim and JC instead with an ‘I’m sorry I didn’t know about this’ look to the others. Kris, Robbie, Paolo, Noy, Ernie, Nancy and Pinky went on to their table.
“What the hell?!” Nancy said as soon as they sat down. “Kim hates that guy so much!”
“Or maybe not…” Kris said, as if unconcerned. Robbie noticed the tone and spoke at once.
“Hey, dude!” Robbie said. “Don’t you give up! You ARE planning on getting her back aren’t you?”
“I only said I’ll try…”
“But that’s KIM dude!” Noy said.
After Noy spoke, they heard conversations from the other tables, particularly from the seniors. They said different things but they all boil down to, “What a pity! Imagine letting go of such a beauty when you know you can never ever get someone like that again!”
“You must have very good luck and looks…”
“Well in the case of some people…”
Noy charged so quickly that the others didn’t get to stop him. Kris had heard and was also incensed but decided to let it go. However, if Noy would…
Robbie immediately read Kris’ mind and stopped him from charging. Instead, they all ran to restrain Noy, his sister Pinky in the lead. The seniors who spoke had already prepared but they merely heard Noy’s rants as he’s restrained by his friends. JC, Kim and Tina were surprised at the outburst.
“You guys don’t f__k__g know anything about my friends!! You shut your f__k__g mouths!!”
They pulled Noy away and Pinky scolded her Kuya.
