Izukuda sat on the couch. Dabi had extensive practice in all that was medical so he was setting a twisted ankle of hers and tending to her cuts and bruises.
He was also watching her.
She stared into space , not looking at anything or anyone .
Her hands for once where sitting still on her lap. She sat silent. Not muttering as she stared at the wall.
" D-dabi ? " She asked quietly.
" Yeah Emba ? " He asked.
She stared a few seconds longer.
" A-are we. . . . . Are we the bad guys ? " She asked. The last part came out as a breathy whisper as tears brimed her eyes. She covered her .she covered her mouth and half her face with her small dainty hands , her gloves taken off.
Dabi looked at her.
Then pulled her into a hug.
She was stuff. Sitting straight up. Then , slowly , she melted into him. She leaned against him and soon he felt her small body shaking as she cryed quietly.
" D-dabi , , , why would K-Kachane be with them i-if their the b-bad guys ? " She whispered into his chest , clutching his shirt in her tiny fists.
He pet her hair .
" I , , , , Emba I don't know. He loves you I think. But , boss said we're the good guys. But , do good guys scare kids and attack them ? I don't know Emba , I don't know. All I know is , you guys , Vampire girl , Handy man , my little Emba , my family , your here. And I can't leave you , so wether it's good or bad or somewhere in-between , I'm staying right here , or where ever my family is " he promised.
He felt Izukudas crying slowly stop. She leaned into him.
" Thank you. Thank you Dabi. That's exactly what I needed " she whispered to him. He smiled and pet her hair.
" No problem my little Emba " he said.
But , just like the moment with Kachane , this moment ended all too soon.
( ( 😭 I'm sorry but the universe hates Izukuda right now I'm sorry ! 😭 ))
Thy heard a door open. A throay being cleared.
They looked up from where they sat.
AFO stood in the door way to his office , in his never changing crips clean suit
He nodded to Izukuda , then nodded to his office.
She nodded.
Her own protector was starting to scare her.
Dabi too. He almost stopped Izukuda as she stood up and walked into the office , her head held down in fear.
He looked at her , then when she dissapeared from his sight , to AFO.
He was looking at Izukuda with a wicked grin , a power hungry grin , then , he chuckled , and went in the room.
And all Dabi could do was watch , in confusion.
