You watched as the Prometheus crashed into the Engineers' military spacecraft, everyone that had been inside now dead. Silent tears fell from your eyes as you had witnessed your crew's and brother's (Holloway) death. You felt scared to live on this blasted planet by yourself. You reached for your transmitter hoping that anyone could hear and respond to your plea, but no one responded. It was only a constant fizz of disrupted signals. Your lip quivered and your body shock as you teared up. A good while passes before you push yourself off from your knees still disheartened. This wasn't the time to cry, you had to pull yourself together or you'd die. Expecting nothing more, a voice is suddenly heard from your transmitter. "Hello? Hello!...is anyone there?" It was David. A rush of relief overwhelmed you as you quickly responded back. "David! It's me, (Y/n). I'm still alive" you said though exhausted. "Where are you? Are you injured?" asked David. "I might have twisted my ankle, but I'm ok. I'm just a few feet away from the crash site. Where are you?" "I'm currently outside the crash site, but I received several damages from the incident so I'm experiencing a few systematic malfunctions. They aren't too severe but I'll need your help." "Is there any other survivors?" you asked the android. "I'm sorry but I'm the only survivor left." Hearing his words, your heart felt frail because of the sore truth, but kept yourself together. "Ok. Just wait there, I'm coming over alright?" you said. "Alright, but be careful. There's a chance something else must have survived the crash too." You could feel dread crawl up your spine. Another of those bastard like creatures was still alive? After the conversation, you sped towards the crash site determined to find David, but you came to a stop and ducked down. All of a sudden, a strange creature emerged from the ship and it wasn't the Engineer. It stood hunched over on all of its fours like an animal. It was too far to properly identify what it was, but you as heck was not heading that way. Definitely-Not-Going-There! This berserk planet was far too foreign to you and all these creatures were making you feel paranoid. Keeping low key you watched as it sniffed the air and ran into the forest not too be seen. At least for now. Making sure it wouldn't make surface again, you quickly hurried towards the crash. Soon you spotted David and rushed to his side, finding his head detached from his missing body, separated and displaced somewhere else. "What happened to you? Where's your body?" you asked. "The crash had been far stronger than I expected. I got caught by the flying rubble." "A-alright, I'll go search for your body. Keep me alert of any movement" you said before walking off. Roaming around, you found his remains and retrieved them before bringing them back to David. Diverted from the constant fear filling your head, David guided you towards one of the research pods that managed to survive. It took a while before you could relocate the pod towards a safe place. Landing safely on a fairly high ground area in the forest, you then found the tools to re-join David's head to his body properly. Seconds, minutes, and hours passed as your sweat ran down your face. The procedure was causing you difficulties but you were managing the situation. You continued as David observed you fix his damaged parts. In no time, the self-repair program kicked in so David's systematic malfunctions could be dealt with in your absence. The android lay in stasis on the examination table as you remained awake beside him for a few minutes. Concerned about what he had told you before, about another creature's possible survival, you quicken to ensured to close every exit/entrance to the pod. You dim the lights down to hide your location as you hearing the sound of wind gushing against the leaves and ferns outside, sent a shiver through you. Inside you felt safer and soon reprogrammed and updated manufactured systems of the search pod.
