The Night Before

Chapter 9: I told you so

-6 weeks later-

It was the day of Aspen's 6 week post partum check up the doctor was checking her over. "Ms Miller.." he said

"Yeah.." she said 

"Let's go to a different room for a minute." he said 

They went into the ultrasound room and he did one. "Already pregnant again." he said

She looked at Bucky "I told you so..' she said 

"Sorry.." he said 

"Due in October." the doctor said 

"A month after your ex wife..' she said as they left.

"Sorry again I'm sorry you could of said that." he said 

They took Everly to her doctor's appointment to do a weight check. While they waited for the doctor she was feeding Everly. "Dear god your boobs are huge..when they are engorged." he said 

"Yeah.." she said 

Once they were done with Everly's appointment they went home so she could pump. Bucky left them to take a nap while he did the grocery shopping. He got everything they needed including more diapers and breast pads since she made him a list. Once he was done doing that he picked pizza and wings. 

They kept quiet about the baby news cause he was already in hot water with his parents and Natalie was 3 and half months along. But the secret didn't stay a secret for long cause they had the ultrasounds on the fridge when she was 12 weeks along. James and Winnie came over with John and his wife Katelyn for dinner with them. 

They both had forgotten about them being on there so as Aspen was cutting the cheese cake she heard "oh my god you are pregnant again or are these's Natalie." Winnie said 

Bucky swallowed hard "She's pregnant again.." he said 

"Son.." James said 

"I didn't know that if we had sex right after a baby being born meant she was mst fertile." Bucky said 

"I'm due in October." she said 

"Okay three grandbabies in one year from the same child." James said 

Bucky looked down. 

"It's time you grow up son.. it's not high school anymore just  because  you will be teaching there doesn't mean you go back to the party boy you use to be." James said

"Yes dad I know." he said 

"Good.. thanks for dinner it was delicious Aspen." James said 

"Thank you." she said 

They let the rest of the family know that she was expecting again and that she was already 3 months along. She convinced Bucky to let her continue her nursing degree instead of teaching at the high school. Bucky started look into going back to school he came home one night "Baby how would you feel about moving again to a more permananet place." he said 

"You want to buy a house.." she said

"Yes.. but not here in Macon but in Athens to save on gas. And um I want to go back to school to get a PH.d in History so I can teach at the college." he said 

She smiled at him "Okay we can do that."she said  

He kissed her "Love you." he said

"Love you too." she said as she went back to her homework.
