Jack, Jonah, and Corbyn ran through Ikea as Zach and I stayed back, pushing the heavy carts that carried furniture. I was finally able to go shopping for my place and hopefully get to stay there for now on. I loved staying with the boys, but it really was time that I went on my own.Zach and I panned over the bedroom sets. He pointed to this bed frame with poles on the corners and curtains drapping down. I lifted an eyebrow at him and shook my head.
"I don't need anything that extra," I laughed and walked past him. There was this a simple white wooden bed frame. I pointed to it. "See, this is what I'm looking for."
"Whatever you say, Mads, but I think the other one is cooler." He joked and wrote down the name of the bed frame I had pointed to. We continued to look around the store, picking out a couch, a coffee table, and some extra little things.
"Madison you need this!" Corbyn practically yelled. He held up a painting of a rocket ship, visibly made for a child's room.
"I think I'll pass on that one, Corbyn." I shook my head with a smile. He jokingly frowned and walked back over to other boys. I paid for all of my things and we ended up leaving with two carts full of things.
"We can put this stuff in my car and then we can drive around the back and put the bed frame and mattress," Zach suggested. He was the only one able to help me for part of the day since the other guys had plans with their girlfriends and then a studio session later. Christina was flying in so Corbyn practically rushed to pick her up.
Hours passed and Zach and I had finally put the bed frame together. He defienetly wasn't the smartest, but he also was really stubborn. So when I told him he wasn't using the right screws or tools, he'd protest and said he knew what he was doing. Which only resulted in him almost breaking the thing.
"I say we did a pretty good job," He smiled down at his work. He sat down on the floor and looked at me. "So now can we please talk about what happened with you and Daniel?"
I sighed and sat in front of him. Daniel and I haven't talked since the other night. There was clear tension in the house, but no one really said anything. It killed me seeing him but not being able to say anything without making matters worse.
"Well. The other day I went to Aaron's," I looked down at the floor and picked some stray strings from the rug we had placed down. "And things felt like nothing had happened. It was like we were back in high school all over again. But then he tried kissing me and Daniel popped into my head. I left as soon as I could. Then when I told Daniel, He asked if I was sure where my feelings were at."
"And where are they?" Zach asked sympathetically. He was genuinely listening and nodding along to my story.
"I don't know, that's the thing. There's something keeping me from cutting off Aaron completely. Then there's Daniel, who makes me feel so... I can't explain how he makes me feel, really. It's so unfamiliar to me."
"Well I'm kind of biased in this situation. As his friend, I say to give Daniel a chance. Time has a wonderful way of showing what really matters, and if Aaron's recent outbursts isn't enough to show you that he isn't who you thought, then I'd say theres somethings that need to be looked over." Zach exhaled loudly and leaned back. "But as your friend, I say to listen your heart. The cost of not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had.""How do you always know what to say?" I laughed softly and reached over to hug him. "Thank you, Zach. Really. For everything."
"It's what best friends are for," He smiled and hugged me back. "But I really do need to head out, I'm gonna be late to the studio."
He stood up and we walked downstairs. He was about to walk out when he turnt and looked at me.
"Falling in love like giving someone a loaded gun and having them point it at your heart, trusting them to not pull the trigger." Zach's tone was serious as he looked at me. "Who are you giving the gun to?"
