Two Months Later

I sat at work, finishing a few finale things for Derek before I was able to go home. My mind was so focused on what I was doing that I hadn't realized my phone was blowing up. Confused, I turnt it over and saw messages from all the boys.

Zach: Did you hear
Corbyn: Hello? Earth to Madison? Pick up!
Jonah: I swear if he did anything to you
Jack: *imagine attachment*
Daniel: It's over Baby

My mind was all over the place trying to figure out what the hell they were talking about. I clicked on Jack's name and opened the picture he had sent me. It was a screenshot from a local news website. My heart shattered at the headline.

Los Angeles Resident Arrested For Domestic Abuse Towards Girlfriend

Attached to it was a picture of him. Aaron Hoffman. The boy I dated from my sophomore year of high school until about 5 months ago. My heart broke at the headline. Not because I was sad or I felt bad, but because it was over. I didn't have to live in fear that he would one day find me and do worse than he already had. My eyes welled as I clicked on the name of the person I wanted to speak to the most, the person who has been here from tbe beginning of this story.

"Oh my gosh, Madison. Did you get our texts?" Zach answered in a rush.

"It's over, Zach. It's really over."

Seven Months Later

Walking off stage, happiness flooded through me. We had just finished the final stop of my press tour for my book. It had only been out for 3 weeks and we were already getting such an amazing response from it. I didn't think my book would really get this far so quick, but I was so happy it did.

"10 shows down and done!" My editor, Haillie, said as I reached my team. Haillie was a year older than me and grew to be my best friend throughout this whole book process. She helped through so much in the past few months and I was so glad to have her in my life.

"And now I am off to London with Daniel!" I smiled excitedly. We were leaving tonight and I couldn't wait. He was finally off tour and I was finished with book stuff for now, we were in desperate need of time together. And London in July sounded absoultely perfect.

The team had a little meeting before we all made our separate ways for now. Daniel had texted me saying he was outside, making me extra excited. I grabbed my things and ran outside to see him leaning against his car.

"How'd it go?" Daniel asked, wrappin his arms around me. He had gone to a few stops on my tour but couldn't come to this one because of a band meeting.

"The ending of tours are always bittersweet." I smiled up at him, remembering their last show of the 8 Letters Tour. The boys had gotten a little emotional because the crowd was so welcoming and powering, belting the lyrics to every song.

"You know what else is bittersweet?" He opened the door for me and kissed my temple. I raised an eyebrow at him. "We'll be spending our 10 months in London. "

"I still can't believe it's 10 months. It feels like forever," I laughed to myself as he got in his side of the car.

"Is that supposed to be a bad thing?" Daniel asked nervously. I shook my head, lacing our fingers together.
