Easton's POV

I stared at my phone, reading the latest text my ex had sent me.

'I miss you so much, please come home. I made a mistake.'

I deleted the message, just as I had done to all the other 50 texts she had sent me throughout last week. Tina and I were so over. Just thinking about her made my insides crawl. I had been with Tina for over four years. We were living together and we had a pretty solid, steady relationship. That was until I came home from work and saw her making out with my best friend on the living room couch.

I had gone grocery shopping after work and had bought lots of snacks, thinking that we could curl up on the couch and watch a movie together. The grocery bags dropped to the floor with a thud, which got their attention. Tina fell to the floor, while my friend Kim was stone cold frozen.

"I can explain," Tina stammered while starting to crawl closer to me. I was ready to throw up right there. I backed away towards the door with my hands in the air. My friend Kim had managed to pull himself together and was now standing.

"I'm so sorry man," He said while putting on his jacket. He didn't look sorry at all.

"How long has this been going on?" I asked both of them. Neither one replied, they both stared at the floor with guilty looks on their faces.

"Answer me!" I yelled, losing my temper.

"Six months..." Tina piped up from the floor.

I suddenly saw her in a new light. All the times she had to stay late at work, or all the times she had been out with her friends. Had she really been with her friends at all?

I sighed and sat down on my bed, trying to get the image of my ex-girlfriend and my ex-best friend out of my head. This week has been hard, and I was thankful that James had given me a safe haven here so that I was able to deal with my emotions. I thought that Tina and I would stay together forever. I moved in with her thinking that this was the real deal. How wrong I had been.

There was a faint knock on my door, and I went to open it. Isabelle was standing outside, she had her hair braided to the right, and was wearing an Avenger T-shirt that looked badass on her. She matched it with a pair of silken shorts that fit her perfectly. Her face was makeup-free and I could see a faint trail of freckles on her nose. She looked really cute. I blinked, because what the heck was I thinking?

"I'm sorry to disturb you this late..." she started.

"It's fine, what do you want?" I asked her.

"Well, my charger isn't working, do you think I would borrow yours?"

"Depends on what kind of phone you have," I replied.

She waved her phone in the air, and I could see that it was an iPhone.

"Well, you're in luck," I answered as I went to look for the charger. Except, I couldn't find it. I stood in front of my drawer, thinking where I could have put it when I heard Isabelle yell "Found it, it's under the bed!".

"Thank you for letting me borrow it, I'll return it tomorrow if that's okay." She said.

"Yeah, sure. Is there anything else you need?" I asked her.

"No, I'm fine," she said while chewing on her bottom lip. Something she always did when she was around me. I'm pretty sure that I make her nervous. Especially after what happened tonight with the way I held her gaze as Ava and I were getting cozy together. I had been surprised to see her in the hallway, watching us. She didn't look away or hide when I spotted her as I thought she would, instead she kept my gaze.
