A small talk with Alex almost felt like I was bursting into flames. His hair blowing in the wind. His eyes glowing in the dark. His deep voice almost sounds like the perfect melody and oh my God! His soft lips pressing against my tenderness. It was one perfect night.

"Okay, never have I never dated a girl." Valentina took a sip of her soda while the rest of us are doing the same.

"Never." Kayla answered her while shaking her head.

"Nope." I said along with Zoey.

"But if we're part of the Single Ladies Club, we can date a girl right?" Riley said. "I mean, I'm not dating a girl, I'm just asking."

"Of course you can." said Zoey.

"But how come we can't date guys but we can date girls," I said. I really do have a point. Why girls instead of guys. Is this a feminine thing?

"The rules say that we can't date guys because they're such assholes, but the rules didn't say anything about dating a girl." said Kayla, drinking her Pepsi.

"Because gays relationships are much better." said Zoey.

"Are you saying we should all be gay."

"If you want to be single for the rest of your life while you're still in the club."

"All right then, we're all lesbians in the fucking Single Ladies Club." Valentina raised her cup into the air and cheered on to herself.

"Yea, and I'm super hungry." said Kayla, walking out of the door while I look down at my knotted fingers, not saying a word.

"Same here." They walked out of the room except for me and Riley. She put her hand onto my back. "You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just... we can date girls, but I'm still thinking about Alex." I said, looking up at her. It's really hard to not think about him, our talk, and our kiss we shared. His lips were cold and his hair was being blown by the wind. "I think I may be in love with him." This is a confessing I could only be able to slip out towards my best friend, but not the others.

"You can't go out with him." she said taking her hand off of my back. "He broke up with Anna and he's going to do the same to you."

"Well maybe, he had a good reason to. I don't know if I actually want to go out with him or not." This is a decision I would never be able to make.

"Well, if I were you, I'd choose not to."

"To hell with your decisions, I make mine!" I snapped. Holy Shit! Did that just come out? I totally told her off.

"Fine, have it your way." She got up from the bed and started walking out of the room. "Wait, Riley." She turned back to look at me.

"You've been in this club as long as I did. You should go out with him and forget about us." She resumed walking out of the room.

"I didn't mean it like that." I said. I'm pretty sure she heard me and just ignored me. It just slipped out of nowhere. The one time I want to be with someone it always comes out to be a bad thing. Who knew this was going to effect my friendship. Did Alex know this was going to effect my friendship?
