Chapter 14

Vanessas P.O.V.

"Dinners ready" Mom called setting the food at the table when Jason walked in with bella making me smile. I adored how he was with kids and how he treated them like his own

Everything smells amazing Jennifer" Jason smiled making mom look up smiling

Thank you" Mom smiled setting plates out

Now I know where you get it from" Jason whispered in my ear making me smile pecking his lips. After mom dished out everyones plate she sat down starting a conversation

"So Jason how've you been sense the last time you were here. I've heard you been working really hard lately" Mom smiled

"I've been good I'm just trying to get some things done before I can finally feel like I've accomplished my goal" Jason smiled. Throughout dinnrr everything went better then I expected it to be which was a good thing and felt like a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders

"You guys ready for dessert" Mom smiled as I nodded before she walked off into the kitchen. I turned to my side seeing Jason looking at me making me smile laughing

"What" I said as he shook his head putting a strand of hair behind my ear

"Nothing" He smiled when his phone rang. I tried looking at the caller ID when I was to slow as he picked his phone up "I'll be right back" He said before walking out as i nodded when I heard an all to familiar voice. I looked up seeing Zayn and one of my old friends alex. Well Zayns old friend but he was that close to us

"Hey Ness" Zayn smiled "You remember Alex right" He smiled as i nodded standing up. I looked at Alex and to be honest if i didn't hear his voice or if Zayn didn't tell me his name i never would've known who he was. Me and Alex go way back to wehn we were kids. He was a new kid and town and i guess when we met we became really close friends fast.

We did everything together actually. But then he started developing really hard feeling towards me and when he told me and when I told him i didn't feel the same way as he felt towards me I guess that kind of ruined our friends ship.

"Wait you're Vanessa you look so different" Alex smiled giving me a hug which I gladly returned

"It's so good to see you" I smiled

"Awe why haven't you guys dated yet" Zayn joked making me laugh pulling away when I looked over seeing Jason with an unpleasant look on his face. Oh no.

"Hey bro you remember Alex" Zayn smiled with humor in his voice knowing that any second Jason would blow up on Alex

"No I don't but I wanna know why he's touching my girl" Jason said with sarcastic humor in his voice

"I was just giving her a hug and I didn't know she was your girl" Alex said quoting girl making Zayn look at me with a help me look

"Well she is and if you touch her again I'll break your fingers off" Jason said with the same sarcasm in his voice

"Ok time for dessert" I butted in when I saw mom walk in with a tray of pie

"Hey boys I didn't know you were coming by" Mom smiled setting the tray down "You guys want some pie" She asked as Zayn nodded

"Of course I do" He said before rushing to the table sitting down. Tonight shall be interesting.
