My son will riot because he will be raised by a riot grrrl.
My son will have a voice because everyone deserves a voice
Everyone has something they want to say weather a man or woman; a man speaking feminism isn't a dirty thing anymore cause not all men are the problem and not all women are the solution.
My son will go through his life without the notion that having feelings makes you a girl, and that's a bad thing
Cause he will know that gender doesn't make you anything; good or bad.
Because that is feminism.
He will know that men can be victims too and he will stand for them
He will understand that your fashion choice doesn't define your sexuality in the same way that it doesn't for men. That the value of strippers and sex workers don't diminish because their career choice.
He will fight for the right for a man to defend himself even if it is from a woman
Because that is equality.
If we truly want change, now is the time, the time is with our children. A blank slate that can be wiped of the centuries of sexism and bigotry. We need to raise children who want to fight for our rights without fear, who want to make a change for a better tomorrow.
Where we can riot rather than simply be quite and destroy the fear.
Our voice is the only thing that truly scares them.
