Michael was just so tired. When he woke up that morning he remembered about school. And then Elizabeth. For a moment he was excited.

But that quickly faded.

He got up and started getting dressed and ready for school. After finally preparing his bag as well; he went downstairs for some breakfast.

"You have a letter from some Carmen girl, Michael" his sister said and he almost choked on his cereal.

"Give it to me!" he demanded. That was a wrong move though. It made his sister got even more curious than she is and as an outcome she tried to open the letter.

Michael was so excited though that he managed to snatch it from her hands and put it in his bag; deciding to open it when his sister would not be around.

He managed to catch the bus to school - surprisingly - so he could read the letter then. He sat at the very back and opened Carmen's letter eagerly.

"Dear Michael,

You have no idea how excited I was when you wrote back! I think that last time I checked the mirror I was just a 19 year old girl. But I understand why you might think I was "a 60 year old rapist".

I do think Elizabeth will like the letter but on the other hand I don't know the girl. I could be mistaken. You should keep a positive aspect in this whole thing.

Also I would like to meet you as well. Would you like to meet somewhere or simply talk through the letters?

Write back soon.

Yours sincerely,
Carmen."

I think it is easy to say Michael was a smiling frozen thing at the bus. He was still smiling from excitement. But he couldn't think that meeting Carmen would come so soon.

He put the letter back in his bag and waited for the bus to arrive. He thought he could ask Luke's opinion on this. He always somehow gave good advice. If not always then most of the time.

Just two stations before Michael would have to leave the bus a girl came and sat next to him.

She was busy texting that she didn't even look at Michael until he had to get up.

"Sorry. I didn't realize I was blocking your way" she said and smiled at Michael.

"It's alright. No worries" he smiled as well.

They had met but none of them realized it.

It's small I know.

I wanted it to stop there though.

In case you didn't realize it bc I wrote it badly :/ Carmen was the girl texting next to Michael.
