Oswald has just joined Gotham High, after he was bullied at his previous school. Both him and Ed are freshly seniors, as it is the start of the school year.

Oswald's POV
Dinner trays slammed into my bruised back, as the deafening screams of hungry animals tore through my eardrums. Teachers- terrified of the routine onslaught- ignored the new kids' suffering as we huddled into a quivering ball of fear. This was worse than my last school. Why does no one have sympathy for the fresh meat, instinctively just trying to survive?
After what felt like years of suffering, I spotted a small escape from this stampede of hormones and axe body spray. I darted for it, barely making it with my life. My freedom, however good it felt, did not last long. Crash! Clumsily, I collided with a rather odd-looking boy and the numerous library books that he once clung to for dear life were now disheveled across the stained floor.
"I-I am so sorry" I spluttered, attempting to hide my sheer embarrassment. At first he huffed in aggravation but once his eyes met mine, his cheeks flushed with a red glow.
"No, uh, I'm sorry. It was my fault...Hey, I don't think I have seen you before. Are you one of the newbies?" he stammered nervously and I couldn't help but notice how cute his voice was.
"Yeah, I just started. Why?"
"I just thought I would definitely remember you." he mumbled as if he didn't intend on me hearing what he said.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I questioned defensively "Look, I know I'm kind of weird and people may not find me conventionally attractive but you don't have to be a dick."
"-huh? Oh..no..god. That's...I didn't mean it like that." he rubbed his reddening face with his smooth palms "I just thought you...had a memorable face..y-yeah"
"Okay, whatever"
Before either of us could say anymore, the bell rang. Thank god.
"I have to get to Math class, see you around" I said rapidly and walked away, peering down at my map of the school.
