The sequel | part 26

It's the wedding day!

Delilah pov
I feel my natural curls tickle my back as I look at myself in the mirror.
Today is the day, I'm marrying my best friend, the love of my life, Jesse Lingard.

Lucia fastens up the back of my dress for me and I let down my vail.
I look at myself in the mirror in my actual wedding dress!
I feel tears start to prick my eyes as I look my reflection up and down.
"Oi don't start crying you'll ruin your beautiful makeup!" Lucia says quickly jumping in front of me and wiping below my eyes.
I crack a small smile and say "this is it"

Jesse pov
I quickly adjust Ellis' bow tie, he looks adorable god bless him.

He's in a three piece suit and he really does look the part!

"You alright little man?" I ask him
He nods and giggles before running off to play with his hot wheels in the corner.

I stand back up straight as I was kneeling down to alter Ellis' bow tie.
Marcus approaches me and pats me on the back.
"You ready bro?" He asks me
I take a deep breath and nod pulling my suit jacket.

I am stood at the alter waiting to see Delilah arrive and walk down the aisle.
I know for a fact she will look stunning, even if she was to walk down the aisle in just a bin bag.

I hear the doors open at the back of the room and I take a deep breath before I swiftly turn my head, my eyes meet with Delilah's, she looks stunning as always.

Delilah pov
My heart is racing as I slowly walk down the aisle and approach Jesse.

I reach the alter and I stand beside Jesse.
He mouths the words 'you look beautiful' causing me to flash a smile at him.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride" the conductor says
Jesse reaches forward and we share our first kiss as a married couple.
Jesse Lingard is my husband! I'm Delilah Lingard!
this is all so surreal.

He holds my hand as we walk out together, me laughing and smiling at everyone we pass, confetti being thrown over us.

As everyone is partying inside the venue Jesse pulls me aside and leads me outside.
It's a clear sky tonight and every star in the sky is visible.
He turns to me and places his hands on my jawline.
"I'm so happy we are a proper family" he says as Ellis comes running over to us both.
Jesse leans down and seals the night with a kiss.

"I will always be beside you" he whispers as we pull away from our kiss.

"Always and forever" I smile

I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him and our son Ellis, like one big happy family.
