I'm heading down the road to Sams apartment in the front seat of a nice ass car. I've missed my best-friend ever since he went to college, but i know that's what he truly wanted. He wanted away from this life.
"What are you thinking about?" Dean says pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Nothing much, just wondering how it's gonna go down when we show up."
"Well, he's gonna come with us. He will have to." Deans says.
We get to his apartment and Dean starts to pick the lock, I walk around the building and spot an unlocked window.
"Dean, come here." I whisper yelled.
I slide the window up and start to crawl through first since I'm smaller and can go unnoticed better. Dean follows through and knocks over a vase with flowers which causes me to jump. What a clutz.
I hear him chuckle and slap the back of his head.
"Ow, why'd you do that for?" He asks while rubbing his head.
"Because you scared me, douche."
We walk in different directions, him towards the kitchen and me towards the hallway.
I hear some grunts and what sounds like a scuffle and walk over.
"Dean?! You scared the crap out of me." Sam says startled.
"Yeah, that's because you're out of practice." At that moment, Sam decides to pin Dean against the floor with his knee against Deans back.
"Yeah, all right." Dean says slapping his leg.
"It's about time you boy finished." I say since Sam still hasn't noticed me.
"Rylie?? Is that you?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, you big moose; it's me."
He walks over and hugs me. Me being short and small, I only go up to his elbows. I zone out of their conversation after some girls comes down in shorts and a crop top. I look up in time to see Dean attempting to flirt with his brothers girlfriend.
Irritated, I walk over to get the keys and go sit in the Impala. I guess I should describe myself.
My name is Rylie AnnaRose Singer. I'm 23 and I stand at 5'3"; and I weigh about 110 pounds. Dean always says I should be careful since I'm so small but I can handle it. I've been hunting I was about 12 years old. My first job was with my Dad and it was a small nest up in Montana. I've been hunting ever since.
I see Sam and Dean walk out of the building; Sam with a duffle bag. I slide into the backseat, knowing that they were gonna eventually tell me to get in the back since Dean is the driver and Sam is too big to fit back here.
Dean gets in and starts up the car and we leave towards Jericho.
I wake up and we're at a gas station. We're only about 3 hours away and I was getting hungry.
"Hey, I'm gonna go get something to eat. You boys want anything?" I ask sitting up.
"No, I'm good, thanks Ry." Sam says.
"Sure, I'll take the usual." Dean says. Meaning he wants a bag of Doritos and coke.
"Okay, I'll be back." I say as I shimmy out of the back seat.
I'm standing outside the car looking at the gas station, just now taking in how creepy it looks. The dumpster is overfilling, most of the lights are either broken or off, we're the only people there and the only light that's illuminating the place is Deans headlights and the light from inside.
"On second though, I'm not that hungry." I say about to crawl back in.
"What? Are you scared? Is the big strong Rylie afraid of the creepy gas station?" Dean says mocking me.
"Well, I'm just not in the mood to get murdered or abducted. Sue me." I say.
"Alright, come on. I'll go with you, scaredy cat." Dean says.
We start to walk in there and I hear something rattle next to us. I instinctively look over, prepared to fight it but then just see that it's a stray animal. I catch up to Dean and walk a bit closer than necessary til we arrive at the door. Once we walk in, we're greeted by a balding man with missing teeth; the only ones that aren't missing are brown and rotting. He smiles at me while Dean isn't looking.
"Well, aren't you a pretty little lady? You shouldn't be around here all alone." The creep guy behind the register says.
"She's not." Deans says protectively while pulling me closer by my waist.
"Okay, I get it. She's taken. I'll back off." He says waving his hands in defeat.
We walk to the chip isle in the back and Dean looks at me.
"Hey, why don't you go wait at the car with Sammy? This guy is giving me the creeps while he's around you." Dean suggests.
"It's fine. I'm with you." I reply.
"Fine then stay close."
He's acting as if we're on a hunt and I don't know why.
We finally pick out our snacks and pay. As Dean hands him the card, the guy from earlier whose name tag I can now see that reads 'Rick', grins at me. I shiver and stand behind Dean. He picks up on it and grabs my hand to hold, as if he's making sure nobody drags me away. We pay and leave the building. Dean is walking in front of me just far enough to where I can leap onto his back. I've never seen him scared, only surprised or pissed. I jump and he instantly catches me and latches his hands around my thighs and supports my weight.
"What are you doing Rylie?" Dean asks.
"Just hanging around, what about you?" I say surprising a giggle.
We arrive at the car and he all but throws me into the back.
"Hey, that's not very nice!" I say, pouting.
"Yeah, well you shouldn't have gotten an unauthorized piggyback ride." Dean says smirking.
"Ugh, I guess you're right. Now, let's gooooo. I wanna get to a motel and take a shower. That guy made me feel dirty." I say cringing.
"What guy?" Sam piped up from the front seat.
"Apparently Rylie attracts creepy guys who run a creepy gas station; who'd have thought?" Dean says while scowling.
"Uh, okay." Sam says.
I lay down in the backseat and I'm about to fall asleep, I feel something being laid across me. It smells like pine and leather. It's Deans jacket. I smile as I fall asleep.
