A/N: A better explanation is what social group the Gladers are in if they went to high school.

Thomas: Pranksters
Thomas being the cheeky fella he is, he'll definitely fit in with the prankster/jokers of the high school. They would often play practical jokes on mean teachers. Once they group wanted to play a prank on you Thomas literally gave them the most threatening death glare for even thinking about harming his Shnoogly Boo Boo McCutiekins (A/N: GO! wizards of waverly place)
Newt: Nerds/Smart group
Okay firstly imagine how hot Thomas Sangster would look with glasses on!
Newt is a rather intelligent human being and I'm sure he would love to work on computers and lab stuff if he didn't live in the Glade. The group would most likely find you very intimidating because you're the prettiest girl that's willing to talk to them, but you shake it off when they check you out, cause they are actually some pretty great lads plus you're taken by Newt anyways.
Minho: Jocks
Being a total muscle man, Minho would probably enjoy hanging out with the jocks of the highschool. This most likely won't be he's only social group because he definitely isn't a meat head like most jocks, he might also like hanging out with the geography club due to he's love of mapping and quick landscape memorization skills.
Alby: Class President
This might just be because he's the leader of the glade but i feel like Alby would be a good class president, it isn't exactly a social group but I feel like Alby could be friends with anyone.
Gally: Outcast
To be completely honest I'm not sure what Gally would be comment what you think.
I just wrote outcast because he seems very distant from the other characters but maybe that's just me.
