Ritual in Flight

Chapter 15

As all the ghouls arrived home exhausted but enthralled from the trip, the clergy, overfilled with curiosity, awaited the next sermon from papa. All sitting and waiting in the pews of the grand chamber of the unholy church. Small murmurs arose between them all, Had they failed? Where and who is she?

The doors opened and all went silent as papa nearly danced down the isle as he made he was to the podium to deliver his news.

"Oh my ghouls! My clergy and sisters o sin! We have returned from our journey to find the mysterious creature! Before I break and news I want to send my praise to each of you, without whom this would not have been possible. My ghouls and I deeply appreciate the great lengths you went through for the unexpected yet dearly needed adventure." Papa spoke with a soft tone that he did not use often in this room. Every last entity cheered and quickly silenced again, eager to hear the rest of the news.

The ghouls anxiously played with their masks or the cassocks, too excited to stay still with the the amazing news about to be shared.

"My church, all of us have done amazing wonders for our unholy master! And now we will do one more! Lucifer had shown us this much needed addition to this, our family! Oh my darlings! We have found this creature! And she was just as amazing... And entrancing as she was in our visions!"
Chuck erupted with delight and resound!

"now now settled down my children, much work lay ahead of us. She has agreed to come but it is up to each of us to make her feel invited, welcomed, loved and accepted into our church, our family! We do not know when she is to arrive so we must all be on alert and I will be giving out specific jobs to a few of you in preparation". He paused for a moment, the feeling of joy coming over him.
"My children, we have started the next leg of our mission. We shall please our unholy master like no one ever has! Now... Let's celebrate!!!"

Papa finished his speech and watched as the crowd joyously cheered and danced out into the grand hall to begin their roles. He stepped down to his ghouls, patiently waiting for their leaders commands.

"My beautiful ghouls! The excitement is palpable! Are we all ready?" He asked as he pulled omega in for a one armed hug, he felt omega tense form let up u dear his touch. "First, alpha! You and omega will find a suitable room for her and clean it up properly. Water and aether, do research on what foods we can add to the kitchen for you. Air, you have your list of jobs for the sisters and the clergy, go and hands them out. I must go do the daily ritual prayer and then will go with another clergy member to await her arrival. This may take hours or days but we will not let our guard down. Now, go my children!"

With that, each ghoul bounded off to start their respective duties. Each of them, though exhausted, made sure they made everything perfect. Not only for vi but for papas approval, the thing they all wished for.
