"Come on, Solar! Let's play!", The green capped boy excitedly said, showing his green kite that he had created to his big brother.
"Not now, Thorn. I'm busy." The white capped boy replied, doing his paper works for his science experiment.
Thorn pouted, his green eyes glanced at his paper works.
Everyday, Solar would always work on his research about his science experiment and everyday, Thorn would always beg and plead for Solar to play with him.
Thorn, being the playful and the eager one, annoying Solar as always while doing his work.
But, everytime the green capped boy annoys his big brother,
Solar would sometimes shut his door and lock it or shout at his brother for being so noisy and irritating, telling him to be quiet and leave his room.
Thorn hated it when his big brother acts like that.
All he wanted was to play with his big brother and spend the rest of his life happily bonding with him.
But, his life could've been more boring when Solar had became interested on a subject from their school, which is Science.
Actually, he always blame science for taking his brother away from him and for brainwashing Solar's memory, replacing it with full of scientific research and experiments.
At least, that's how he thinks about it.
"You always work on those science research. We never hang out anymore like we used to." He stated, looking back at his big brother with a slightly gloomy face.
In fact, it was true Thorn and Solar would always hang out with each other and play, before.
Nevertheless, Solar was now a science nerd, or should I say, 'a science addict'.
Solar sighed in annoyance, still working on with his paper works. "Just go and play with yourself, Thorn. We'll play once I'm done with my work."
Thorn, being so restless and couldn't take his eagerness anymore to play with his big brother, rushed towards Solar's direction.
However, as he rushed towards him, he accidentally bumped on one of his beaker from his science experiment and fell off from the table, causing it to break into pieces and the liquid from it had circulate on the floor.
Solar gasped with his eyes widened in shock at the sight of this. Thorn also did the same thing, but with both of his hands covering his mouth.
The light element gritted his teeth with his hands clenched into fists.
"What have you done!?"
Solar glared at the leaf element, who was now looking down at the floor with guilt and shaking in fear.
"I told you many times that we'll play later after I'm finished but look what you've done! You broke that one thing I needed for my experiment just so I could finish my work, but now, I have to restart all over again, thanks to you!" He complained, looking at his brother angrily.
Thorn gripped on his kite tightly and used it to cover himself from his brother complaining about him while closing his eyes, trying not to cry.
"I-I'm sorry, Solar..." He apologized, his whole body trembling in fear.
Solar scoffed. "Now, you're apologizing!? What the heck, Thorn!? Do you think your 'sorrys' will change everything back the way they were!? And, PLEASE THORN! I'M SO TIRED OF DOING ALL MY WORKS AND YET, YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO MESS EVERYTHING UP!"
Solar kept on ranting and ranting about doing his research all over again, his brother being so clumsy at things and his brother's stupidity.
But, one thing's for sure, he said something harshly that will make Solar regret all his life.
"I don't need nor want a brother like you."
Then, there was silence. Sobs, whimpers and sniffles could be heard around Solar's room. And, no, they were not from Solar. They were coming from Thorn.
Those nine words hurt and hit him so much.
And worst of all, that one hurtful sentence came out from his one and only big brother, Solar.
Thorn faced his big brother.
His green, big, innocent eyes before, were now turned into gloomy, red ones.
Hot tears fell from his eyes.
He was hurt from the inside and outside.
Not physically, but emotionally.
But, it felt like he also hurt him physically.
But,
he smiled.
Not happily.
Not forced.
Not cracked.
He smiled sadly.
He let go of his kite, causing it to fall on the cold, cement floor.
His eyes still staring straight onto Solar's eyes while the pupils from his eyes shook.
He then replied back.
He also replied with exactly nine words but not rudely, but softly. Unlike Solar's harsh tone.
"Thank you for being honest with me, big brother."
Then, shadows covered his eyes as he turned around and left the room, leaving a speechless Solar behind.
He then left the house, without even telling his big brother where he was going and ran away from home.
Solar then felt guilty.
Thorn would always asked his brother, Solar, about him, if he was fun to be with, if he do enjoyed his company with him.
But, his little brother asked him once if ever, he was the worst brother ever, since he had done some terrible things to him.
His big brother smiled sadly, telling him that he's the best brother he have ever had and he was thankful for having a brother like him.
And, he thought that he was being honest with him.
The light element then noticed his little brother's kite and picked it up, staring at it then back on the door where Thorn had exited.
'Thorn...'

The leaf element kept on running non-stop.
Tears continues to shed from his eyes.
His breaths heavily panting every step he was taking.
His heart beats faster every second.
He ran.
And ran.
And ran.
Until...
