'Why?'
'Why would he do this...?'
'Just...why...?'
'How come this day would eventually come...?'
He thought as he lowered his head down and sobbed silently.
'I was so weak to even save him...'
'I promised to myself that I will always protect him.'
'Save him when he needed to...'
'But, I failed.'
'I failed...so badly.'
'Why does fate always have to play with my life?'
'Our life...?'
He muttered, silently breathing in and out.
'He couldn't have done that for me...'
'He shouldn't have...'
'Now, I'm all alone.'
He sniffled as he remembered that day...

The two siblings were glad, enjoying their tender moment together.
They were happy.
They had reunited again.
But then, fate had played them.
The man noticed the two elemental brothers.
They were distracted, having their little moment together.
This made the man smirked and held his pistol up and aimed it directly at the little leaf element's back.
Click!
Fortunately, the light element noticed it.
But, he was too late...
DORRR!
The leaf element was shot on the back, making the light element gasped in shock.
Everything went slow motion for them.
His little brother's pupils in his eyes shook, his big, green eyes widened while looking at his big brother's golden eyes in fear as he slowly dropped on his knees and let his body fell on the ground.
"THORN!"
The green-eyed element's vision slowly became blurry, the light elemental's voice was inaudible for him to hear.
Countless amount of the leaf element's blood poured, spreading on the ground and around his back.
Solar was in a panic state as he immediately carried his fallen, young brother and used his Solar Leap ability to go to a nearest hospital.
All the leaf element could remember was, he was placed on a soft bed, an oxygen mask gently placed on his nose and mouth when everything went black for him.

"Doc! Is he gonna be okay!?" The light element panicked, gripping on the doctor's collar of his lab coat.
"Tell me he's going to be okay!" He added as his voice cracked on his last sentence with few tears escaping from his eyes.
The doctor's chocolate, brown eyes stared at the light element's golden eyes with a hint of worry.
"Sir, I'm sorry to say but, we can't treat his condition right now..." The doctor started while looking at the light element gloomily.
This made Solar panicked even more, with a mix of fear and anger from his emotions.
"What!? Why!?"
"He had lost a numerous amount of blood..." The doctor explained calmly. "And we don't have any bags of blood for him. We also don't have a similar blood-type for your brother to use."
The light element felt like his whole world collapsed just by hearing those words as he let go of the doctor's collar.
"...unless..."
The golden-eyed boy's head immediately shot up.
"Someone would donate their blood for him..."
Solar then had come up with something and he knew it would also take to sacrifice himself.
He knew his little brother wouldn't agree to him if he'd found out his ridiculous idea.
But, he didn't care less.
He wants his little brother to live no matter what.
He deeply cares for him.
He'd broke his promise once from his mother to protect him.
But now, he promised to himself that whatever happens, he would sacrifice himself for the sake of his little brother's life.
"I'm going to donate my blood." He stated.
"We have the same blood type." He added.
"But sir, you're still young to donate blood--" The light element cut him off.
"I don't care! Take as many blood you needed for my brother! I have to do this, for him. I can't lose him again! I won't lose the only family I have left." Solar protested as tears fell from his puffy, golden eyes.
The doctor looked down on the cold, cement floor as he sighed in defeat.
. . .
The light element walked towards his little brother, carefully holding up his hand and caressed it gently.
He'd then remembered that day when they were in the hospital, where their mother had passed away.
Then, here, right now. His little brother, the only family he has, slowly drifting away from the world.
He silently watched his unconscious little brother in his deep slumber.
"Whatever it takes, I will save the only family I have."
The light element slowly leaned in, gently giving a small kiss on his little brother's forehead.
"I love you, Thorn. You will always be in my heart."
He gently placed his little brother's hand on his side, slowly letting him go as he lied down on the hospital bed beside him, where he would start donating his blood for his little brother.
"Are you sure about this, sir?" The nurse asked worriedly, as she prepared the needle for an injection.
The light element curved a small, reassuring smile.
"As long as my brother lives.."

Sobs and whimpers echoed around the room.
The leaf element was looking at his unconscious big brother, his green eyes filled with wet tears as his little hand held on to his big brother's pale hand.
"...Solar..."
