🔸6 - Argument🔸

Confused.

The lightning element was fiddling his fingers while seated on the couch in their living room, thinking deeply on his thoughts.

"You alright, Thunder?" His eldest brother, Quake asked worriedly.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Thunderstorm answered.

"You don't look fine to me." His cousin, Ice, who was beside him, stated. "Tell us, what's bothering you?"

The lightning element took a deep breath and sighed.

"It's about Thorn. It seems like something bad had happened to him."

The earth element hummed and nodded in agreement.

"You're right. I do kind of noticed that too."

"Wait, you think Thorn is acting off lately?" The ice element questioned his two cousins in confusion, in which he received a nod from them in return.

"Yeah. He somehow cried without us knowing the real reason why." Quake sighed, as he sat on the couch next to Thunderstorm.

" I feel like, this has something to do with..."

Thunderstorm trailed off as he was hesitating to continue what he wanted to say.

"With...what?" Quake and Ice asked the lightning element in unison.

Before Thunderstorm could even answer, a knock had interrupted their conversation, making the three faced the door.

Quake stared at the door for a moment before he got up from the couch and walked towards the door.

As soon as the earth element reached the doorknob and opened it, his eyes widened in surprise as the figure from the door revealed his light elemental cousin, Solar.

Quake's brows furrowed.

"Solar?"

The light element panted heavily as he tried to catch his breath for a moment. His face was already wet with his cold sweat and still had few sweats trickling down his forehead.

When he'd already calmed down and breathed normally, he immediately asked.

"Have you seen Thorn!? I couldn't find him anywhere!"

Before his earth elemental cousin speak, his lightning elemental cousin emerged from the doorway and looked at him in confusion.

"Come on in." His lightning elemental cousin said, before moving away from the door. Same goes with his earth elemental cousin.

Solar thankfully nodded his cousins and went inside, closing the door behind him.

"So, you're looking for Thorn?" Thunderstorm asked, crossing his arms on his chest.

Solar nodded. "Yeah. Have you guys seen him?" He asked his elemental cousins.

"Before that, I want to ask you..." The lightning element narrowed his red, ruby eyes straight at his light elemental cousin's golden eyes.

"What happened while you're with Thorn?"

Thorn woke up from the noise from downstairs and decided to check what had happened.

He got up from his wind elemental cousin's bed and proceeded to the door, opening it for him to exit the room.

As he reached the hallway, he saw his two elemental cousins watching from downstairs while holding on to the rails.

"Cousin Cyclone? Cousin Blaze? What... happened?" He asked.

The wind and fire element flinched and turned to look at their leaf elemental cousin while smiling nervously.

"Oh, hey T! Umm, how was your rest?" The fire element asked but he was completely ignored by the leaf element as he was about to go downstairs to see what was the commotion all about.

There, he saw his lightning elemental cousin looking annoyed and mad. He walked towards Thunderstorm to ask him why he was acting like that.

"Cousin Thunderstorm? Why are you..." He paused as he saw his big brother, Solar, on the corner of his eyes.

Solar stared at his little brother, his eyes widened with tears.

"Thorn..."

The light element was about to walk towards his little brother when suddenly, his little brother ran towards his lightning elemental cousin and hid behind him while shaking in fear.

"Go away..." Thorn said, as tears started trickling down from his green eyes while sobbing and gripping tightly on Thunderstorm's jacket.

Thunderstorm could only glanced at Thorn and gave him a pat on his head, comforting him.

The light element felt like his heart shattered into millions of pieces after hearing those two words came out from his one and only little brother's mouth.

"Thorn, I--" Solar got cut off by his cousin, Thunderstorm.

"So you DID HURT HIM! HOW DARE YOU!" Thunderstorm argued, gritting his teeth while comforting Thorn who was behind his back.

"It was a mistake! I--"

"I knew you were going to HURT him!"

Solar gritted his teeth while glaring at his lightning elemental's cousin.

"Huh! Like you're actually good at predicting the future!"

Thunderstorm gritted his teeth angrily, annoyed and irritated by his light elemental cousin.

"It would be better if Thorn would stay with us instead!"

Solar scoffed. "Are you even his big brother!?"

"You're not even treating him like one!"

Thorn was shaking uncontrollably, uncomfortable about the situation that was going on.

He was crying softly while watching both his lightning elemental cousin and his big brother argue with each other.

Quake gritted his teeth as he had enough with the fight and argument of the two.

"Okay! Enough! The two of you!" He shouted, looking at Solar and Thunderstorm angrily.

The two elemental cousins stopped fighting, glaring at one another.

"Just, stop, okay?! We can just sort this out by just Solar simply apologising to his--"

"No."

All the elemental cousins and Thorn looked at the light element.

Solar forced a smile, a tear escaped from his golden eyes.

"I guess Thunderstorm's right. It's better if my little brother will stay with you guys, instead of staying with a selfish, big brother, like me..." He stated, wiping his tear that escaped from his eyes before walking towards the door and opened it gently.

Solar stopped to look back to his little brother one last time, giving him a small smile before leaving the house and gently closing the door.

The elemental cousins and Thorn became silent after the light element left the house.
