AN: I do not own this awesome drawing, but I couldn't resist the use of it for my story. These are (Katriona's Thoughts), 'Emphasis of the word', and *sounds*.
I got a phone call before four the next day it was polite to the point and just shy of being rude in the very briskness of how quickly it ended.
"Hello," I said answering my phone.
"Is this Miss Sinclair?" the lady said.
"Yes... yes, that's me, can I help you with something," I asked confusedly?
"That's good, my name is Pepper, I received your resume for the caretaker position. Are you available for an interview tomorrow morning at ten?" she asked me.
I replied after a moment of thinking if I had anything planned for tomorrow and coming up with nothing " Yes, I'm available at that time. Is there anything that I should bring with me beside the usual?"
" No, but be prepared for questions concerning situations that may arise while performing your duties as a caretaker. I would also recommend wearing something comfortable as all the interviews have run rather long." she cautioned with a weird tone of voice.
"Thank you, Pepper, for letting me know that, is there anything else I should prepare for?" I questioned wondering how kids were leading to such a long interview.
"No, that should be all you need to know right now. I would wish you luck but, Tony recommended you so you should be fine. You have a nice day." she snarkily replied before hanging up.

As I walked into the lobby I quickly took note of all the airport-like security measures. Placing my bag/large purse onto the conveyor belt and walked through the metal detector as the security guard just raised his eyebrow when he looked at the scan of my belongings. I swiftly headed towards the desk to ask directions as to where I should go for my interview when suddenly I heard a shout ring out from near the elevator bays "Stop him, don't let him get out!" a red-headed woman yelled as a man came barreling towards me I didn't even think I just swung my bag and *CRACK* he fell over boneless.
*Mama* *Mama* a robotic voice rang out in the silence that followed. (Oh man, I hope I don't get sued for that!) The same red-headed woman directed some people in suits to collect the man I had just hit with my bag before turning to me and saying, "While unconventional, I approve your quick thinking. Thank you, for your assistance," (Ya... So I think, that I might have almost killed the poor man with my bag, but your welcome, I guess.) I nodded stiffly while saying a quick your welcome in the background I hear murmuring "what the hell does she have in that bag of hers" then from the first security guard *Ha-ha-ha-ha* "she just took a guy out with a bunch of kiddie toys!"
I looked his way. "I'll never get bored on this job that's for sure" *Ha-ha-ha-ha* he was still laughing when suddenly I hear "Agent Romanoff, you almost let him get away." I looked at the man who said this and was shocked to see a man that looked like a modern-day pirate he even had an eye patch to top off the intimidating look. He turned to me and said, "Hello miss Sinclair my name is Fury and I believe you have an interview to get to, while we handle this situation." (Wait... What!?... How the holy jalapeños does he know my name?!?!) I smiled then nodded politely, still weirded out by him knowing my name, and turned to go and find out what else I was supposed to do as I still didn't know where my interview was at.
Meanwhile, Fury and Natasha were talking about the man who had tried to steal information concerning Shield and the Avengers. Thankfully Friday had alerted them before he could hack into anything that could compromise any operations. They were also discussing the woman they were considering for the caretaker position they had an interview within a couple of minutes. Having already completed a thorough background check on her and getting a recommendation from Stark, with no red flags being raised on the double checks just for security purposes, after the whole triskelion incident. They decided to let the man in question wake up after his abrupt departure from consciousness. They proceeded to the Interview with the biggest question in both their minds is, why did she have toys in her rather large bag.
