A/N: Bucky will be slightly OOC, in his 'need' to protect Kat from the danger she encounters. These are (Katriona's Thoughts), 'Emphasis of the word', and *sounds*.

After a short ride on the subway, I was almost to my apartment complex's block when suddenly, I was jerked backward into an alleyway. As I regained my balance from the rough handling, I noticed a medium-sized man in a ski-mask, waving a knife at me while saying, "Give me all your F******g money B***h!" So being me, the first thing that went through my head was (I'm being mugged! Stay cool, frosted flakes it's a butchers knife! My self-defense class didn't cover this!) so I stated rather calmly while panicking inside, "Sir I don't have any money right now. I just started my new job and I won't get paid for a while." He dropped the arm holding the knife as he said, "What the F**k you mean! You gotta have something with a bag as D**n big as that!" I smiled at him holding my bag up before saying, "Oh, this little thing has lots of stuff in it, but none of it is worth anything." He started to raise his hand with the knife in it as he yelled, "F**k that Bull***t show me what's in the D**n bag B***h!"

So I pulled my bag off my shoulder slowly and acted like I was going to do what he wanted. He stepped forward lowering the knife once again, when I started hitting him with my bag as I yelled out, "I already told you I don't have any money on me and the stuff in my bag isn't worth anything! You have to be the stupidest mugger in the history of muggings to lower your weapon on the person your mugging! If you are going to mug someone, go to a richer part of the city. Not just a random person walking the street, especially this part of the city where everyone is poor!" By the end of my rant/beating my mugger up, I was slightly out of breath and my heart felt like it would pound out of my chest.

I heard a noise behind me and thinking my mugger had a buddy coming to check on him. I swung my bag again to defend myself from the person who had snuck up behind me. Only to hit some weirdo in a red and blue costume, with a spider symbol on the chest of it, who held their arms up over their head while saying rather hurriedly, "Whoa, hang on! Don't hit me! I'm one of the good guy's! I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Um, I'm sorry, I don't know your name lady, I was going to ask if you needed some help. I think you got him covered!" He sounded like a teenage kid, I was slightly concerned for him and still having trouble with calming myself I breathlessly responded, "Thank you, for wanting to help me, call me Kat. Exactly how old are you kid?"

Not receiving a proper response I pulled the kid closer to me by his wrist and held on just to make sure he didn't run off while I sent a quick text to Tony, with a picture attached of the spider(kid)-man, asking if he knew what I should do with the kid. I got a quick response from Tony telling me that an officer was already on its way and to tell Peter 'his Aunt May would be happy that he tried to save me, but he better get home soon.' After showing Peter what Tony had messaged me he left for the rooftops using some thread-like goop, while shouting down at me, "I'll see you around sometime! I'll have Tony send the video to the cops from my suit, so you don't get in trouble. Bye-bye Miss Kat!"

Before I could even respond to him, he had disappeared over the edge of the building. It seemed, that not even five seconds later, a cop car pulled up to the end of the alleyway, I was still standing in with my unconscious mugger near my feet. The policemen didn't even do the whole 'put your hands up' routine I was expecting. No, he asked me, "You are Miss Sinclair is that correct? Are you harmed in any way or in need of any medical attention?" I simply nodded yes, then shook my head no, now thoroughly confused at their behavior. I was kind of worried I would be in trouble for hitting the guy so much. I watched as the first officer moved forward to check on my mugger, giving me a small smile and nod of his head as he passed me, he hauled the now conscious and slightly protesting his failed mugging up off the ground and into the back of their vehicle.
