An Undertale Story: Return

Chapter ten

I was about to shoot magic towards G when I felt a hard force grab my arm and I was suddenly plummeting towards the ground, flipping on my back mid air I noticed Sans screaming out my name. Closing my eyes I prepared for the hard impact that was to come, the moment I hit the ground I felt both my soul shatter and the smaller soul shatter and my body turned to dust but this time for good.

*The Void*

I awoke to find myself in the void, I winced knowing what had happened and began to cry. I would miss Sans dearly but now that I wasn't exactly alive I couldn't see him as far as I knew, footsteps began to echo the void and I jumped up wiping my tears away to see Ink and Error standing there with kind smiles.

"Hey guys," I sniffled as I cleared my cheeks of tears, Ink was the first one to speak.

"Hey Atari, sorry you erm well yeah, however, since your soul has become like ours you can go through portals into other realms and such and even go back and see Sans but only for a limited amount of time, also we made you this," Ink explained before handing me a katana, I looked at it confused.

"It's so you can create your own portals without our help, we will help you get used to it since you are still new," Error explained gesturing to the katana, I nodded and pulled them both into a hug which shocked them.

"Thanks guys," I whispered, this was my new life now and I would have to accept it sooner or later.

*Normal Realm (Sans POV)*

I stared at the faint traces of where she had hit the ground with UnderFell Gaster, I hated the fact that he had taken her from me. With a sigh I turned and began to head back to town, everyone was holding a funeral for her there and I wouldn't miss it for the world. She was the only thing that really made sense to me, she was my world and now that world was shattered across the lands. I winced as I remembered all the times we had spent together, if I could reverse time I would but sadly the only human who had been able to do that had permanently died years ago. As I walked into the town square I noticed everyone turn to me with sympathetic faces, lowering my gaze I looked at the picture of her they had set up and couldn't stop myself from breaking down into a crying fit.
