Chapter 3: Forgiveness?

Half an hour after the shooting, Mccree is being courted by several girls and he's chuckling and impressing them with the good ol' hat trick (Winter Wonderland emote).

Ashe: "Jesse, we need to leave."

Mccree: "Why? The fun's just gettin started! Oh hello there..."

I grunt and then go off without him. It's not like he cared anyway, he'll probably end up sleepin with one of them girls and then stay at her place.. but he slept in MY bed last night. After all those years of ghosting me, he just comes back and then starts hiting on other girls right in front of me? Ugh he's too easy to fall for. I smash my glass cup I was drinkin water out off on the wall and then take a nap, I can't deal with rage right now.

1 and a half hours later.

I wake up and see a note on my bedside table, Jesse either left that last night or whilst I was asleep.

The note read:
"Dear Darling Elizabeth Ashe,
Even if you see me with other girls, don't be worried. I saw how you reacted earlier at the diner and I just wanted to let you know that you are way higher on my probably will sleep with forever list than them.
Love,
Jesse"

I scoffed.

"How am I supposed to believe this scumbaag if I saw it with my own eyes? If I heard him say he didn't want to date me?" I thought aloud.

Me.

"How long have you been sittin there?" I asked calmly.

"Long enough to know you probably still hate me."

I thought for a moment. Usually, to anyone else in Deadlock, he would end his messages with Sincerely.

BUT HE SAID LOVE.

He ain't show me true love in half a decade!

He stared at me with a puzzling expression then said, "Well if that ain' gon' cut it, then I also brought you a gift."

He gave me a bag that was sittin next to him that I didn't notice.

I looked inside of it, and it had stuffin paper before the real thing. Real original Jesse.

Inside the bag was a box of chocolates, a rose, a lil card that said "I love you!" and a decal outline for things like guns.

I looked at him and asked, "All this? For ME?"

He nodded.

I set the gifts down and gave him a small kiss on the cheek.
"That's for the gifts."
I slapped his other cheek.
"That's for the other girls AND leaving me."

He chuckled and looked at me. "Elizabeth Ashe, JEALOUS?! That's new."
