The instant my alarm clock goes off, I feel a headache begin to form.

Seven hours of sleep is how much I needed to be a fully functioning person. And I was running on 3 and a half. It would've been 4 if Ariana didn't pull over the second we reached my neighborhood and express her love once more.

I open my eyes for a moment only to make contact with my ceiling wall. I'm not exactly sure of what I expected to see. For some odd reason, I imagined I'd roll over to the other side of my bed and come face to face with a sleeping Ariana.

Maybe we had a sleepover. And spent the entire night talking about ourselves, our interests, likes and dislikes. She could sing for me and I could walk her through my position in track and how it came to be.

We'd fill each other in on our past relationships and I could express my endless love for her and the laughter that escaped her lips from time to time.

We'd walk out of my room, hand-in hand -frolic down the stairs and into the kitchen, where we'd be met with my entire family.

I'd kiss my mom a good morning and watch as Ariana takes a seat with my dad and Alex. Shortly afterwards, I would join her and we'd indulge in my moms famous panc-

"Get the hell up! W-what are you doing? We're going to be late"

A loud voice plunges into my eardrum and I feel my eyes instantly roll back as the bothersome voice reveals her identity.

"I heard your alarm clock go off!" Lauren exclaims, "Don't pretend you're asleep"

I let out a sigh in annoyance as I remember my level of acting skills and how I couldn't have just pretended to not hear her, "I'll be down soon, leave me alone Laur"

"Fine" Her voice is faint and barely detectable. I could tell she was out of my room now. Probably gave up.

As silence invades my room, I can't help but feel at peace. Five more minutes of sleep, I deserved that at least. My breathing gradually slows down and I feel my body maintain a balanced temperature.

Unaware that my door was still open, I don't hear Lauren tiptoe back in. And I certainly don't take notice of the bucket of water she had managed to carry all the way into my room.

The blanket I had over myself suddenly grew damp and before I could open my eyes, I'm met with a bucket containing ice cold water. As it begins to pour on my body, I immediately jolt out of bed - steam practically shooting out my ears.

"I'm going to kill you!" The threat escapes my lips as I wipe away the water dripping from my chin.

Lauren jokingly gasps in fear then begins to run.

I follow her down the stairs and my anger begins to grow with every laugh she taunts me with.

When we reach the kitchen, I feel my body come into contact with hers, "You're so gonna get it", my arms extend in her direction - I was so concentrated on catching her that I didn't take time to notice my surroundings.

"Enough!" I hear a loud voice behind me shout.

Embarrassed by my behavior once again, I feel my soul leave my body as I'm forced to turn around and face this person.

"G-good morning to you too dad" I chuckle nervously.

"What's this strange act you two love to carry out?" His eyebrows were arched and he looked at the both of us - unimpressed, "Chasing each other?" He takes a sip of his coffee, then presumes to judge, "Come on, remind me of your ages again"

"17" Lauren and I respond in unison - our vision now focused on the ground.

He scoffs at our answer, "Well you certainly don't act like it"
