Just as I got off from the car, I saw that Hoseok oppa was waiting for me in the porch.
I wonder what's up..
"Oppa!" I said and ran towards him to give him a hug. He had ruined my secret date with Taehyung but I still love him.
Hoseok oppa pushed me away as soon as I hugged him. "Stop acting like a puppy, Ellie. I am busy", he snapped. I thought he had been waiting for me but I had been wrong. He was waiting for his girls. I rolled my eyes and went to my bedroom.
I took of my dress and walked over to the window, and opened the curtains slightly so that I could see what Hoseok oppa was doing. He grinned as he saw his car coming up the driveway.
Minutes later, Hoseok oppa's chauffeur opened the doors of the car and two blonde yeohjas got off. "I hope you didn't have to wait for too long, oppa.. My makeup took longer than I thought", said one of them. The other one waved shyly at Hoseok oppa and scanned the exterior of the house. She met my face and I quickly closed the curtain.
"Who is that in that room, oppa? I thought we'd be the only guests today?" I heard her ask Hoseok oppa. I could mentally picture oppa's reaction. He was probably displeased with the way I was behaving.
"Don't worry, ladies. That was probably my annoying dongsaeng (Tr: "younger sibling"). Just ignore her".
Those words really hurt me. Hoseok oppa was changing and I couldn't understand why. We used to be so close. He used to be my best friend. Now he hated the sight of me.
I jumped into my bed. The sheets and pillows were comforting. A few tears escaped my eyes but I wiped them off. This is what it's like to live in this colourless world of chaebols.
I thought about Taehyung. At least, I met him. The only light in this darkness.

*During dinner, halmeonie asked me about the date.
I really had nothing to say other than the fact that I hated Jungkook. But I couldn't possibly tell them that, so I lied. "He's a nice boy, Halmeonie. We couldn't talk much because he had to leave early. I think someone from the company called him".
Halmeonie seemed satisfied and slightly nodded her head.
"Good. Now make sure you keep him happy. You know how important this marriage is to our company. I don't want to hear a single complaint about you from the Jeons, understand?"
Sure. Just think of the company, halmeonie. My happiness doesn't matter, does it?
"Ye halmeonie", I replied, faking a smile.
I cut my piece of apple pie into small bite size pieces and ate them one by one. I needed to pretend that everything was fine even if I was falling apart inside. Halmeonie can be dangerous when she's angry.
"Oh right. Why don't you call Jungkook over for dinner tomorrow night? Can I count on you to tell him, Ellie?" Halmeonie looked at me expectantly.
Shit. I don't even have his phone number.
I tried to get out of it by saying that it is too soon to invite him over, and noticed halmeonie getting angry.
"I make the decision in this house, arasso? (Tr: "Understand") Make sure to tell him and make sure he comes!", she commanded and I replied meekly, not meeting her eyes. I am so screwed.

*I paced around my room trying to figure out what to do. I couldn't possibly tell halmeonie that I don't even have Jungkook's number and Hoseok oppa seems to be in a worse mood than normal these days. What should I do?
