Being from a chaebol family is fine as long as you don't have an old but rich halmeonie (Tr: "Grandmother") who likes your oppa (Tr: "Older brother") more than you, just because he is the only male in the family.

Jung Hoseok. The future heir to the "throne".

We live in this immense castle-like mansion in the north of Gangnam. The maids and butlers are always scurrying around the house.

When I switched on the TV this morning, my oppa was on TV. He was talking about something related to the family business. It had been recorded a few days ago but it was the first time I was seeing it. I randomly came across the program, because halmeonie had been bored and she had forced me to switch on the TV and watch an anime with her. That was her secret hobby which the world didn't know about.

The minute halmeonie saw oppa, she told me that she was going to watch the business program instead. She had actually seen it more than five times already but that wasn't enough for her. After all it was Hoseok, her biggest pride. I have always wondered whether she even likes me. She never shows me any affection and only ever forces me to do things.

Oppa was smiling so brightly on TV and I could see that the interviewer lady was struggling so hard to hide her excitement. Stupid woman. Like oppa would ever like someone like you.

I was angry about the things oppa was saying in the program, so I stormed into his room without knocking.

He was on bed with three almost naked yeohjas (Tr: "Girls"). A brunette and two blondes. His favourite kind.

I was already used to this. Oppa has a bad habit of bringing random women into his room. Different ones each day. I rolled my eyes.

I started arguing with him about the stuff he had said at the interview. Hoseok oppa was super angry at me and said "I don't have time for this now, so just get out, Elle! Why do you always disturb my when I am gathering energy. I need it for tomorrow's match, so scram!"

The yeohjas didn't move an inch. They just looked at me with gloaty smiles. I hated how all these girls just slept with oppa just because of his money.

"I hate you!", I screamed at Hoseok oppa and stormed out of the room. The yeohjas started giggling telling him how cute I am.

"So, where were we ladies?" That was the last thing I heard before I shut the door behind me.

Screw you, oppa.

The next day, everyone got up earlier than usual to prepare for the grand party and match.

Halmeonie had decided to throw a party, to introduce the next heir of the family to the other chaebols. But it wasn't going to be a normal party. If Hoseok oppa wanted to be the next heir, he had to win a swimming match, against his longtime rival, Taehyung.

Taehyung's grandfather was the biggest shareholder in the company, only second to our halmeonie. If Taehyung wins the match, Hoseok oppa would be sent to another year abroad for training. He'll just go and play around with girls anyway. He'd just take it as a blessing. A chance to meet more exotic girls.

I opened the curtain of my bedroom slightly to see that lots of guests had already gathered in the back garden.

I wore a long silver-blue dress and blue high heels. My personal stylist did my hair and makeup. After getting ready, I went over to the pool area where the match was going to take place.

Oppa's official yeohja chingu (Tr: "Girlfriend"), Yoona eonnie, was wearing a white knee-lenght dress which almost looked like a wedding dress. She was standing next to oppa who was wearing a white suit.
