Blonde hair flowed in the wind as the first sign of land appeared in front of the huge ship. Kaine looked down like she did so many times before on their journey. It still seemed like the ocean swallowed the wood and they would sink every second but they didn't . That didn't matter because she knew that far behind that harbour was her new life and she was excited to see it and terrified all at once. But somehow she also couldn't wait to get back to the isles. Her feet carried her back down into the ship to check on their horses with their horns in the middle of their foreheads. They didn't have magical power or could speak but they were great for killing with their pointy horns like a deadly stag or a pig. The rest of them was pretty similar to the body of a horse just often taller with more muscle. Just the horn which was out of the same material as their hooves was special. Her own horse was a dapple grey with deep eyes. It was a stallion for sure. A queen deserved a stallion."We are in white harbor you should come up" Her brother said suddenly as he approached her so silently. Arien was always sneaky and knew more secrets than Kaine had in her life about almost every person.
The blonde nodded and followed the boy. She swallowed as she watched the wooden harbor come closer and closer. Her stomach curled up as she felt the sea getting way smoother meaning that the land was not far anymore. Alba stood next to her smiling and so did Astrid. The older woman took the girls arm assuringly and trying to calm her. Alba took eyes from her sister and looked towards the land. It was so different from the isle she had known her whole life. Interesting but not as beautiful as her home. She could imagine the people to have sticks up their asses here.
"Oh fuck man you are probably so screwed" Theon mumbled while the three young lords were busy cleaning up stables and the room for the training weapons to make everything look spotless.
"Maybe she isn't that bad" Jon argued shyly as he cleaned the floor with a broom even if his efforts were in vain.
"A blonde barbaric queen with different color eyes who's probably a better swordsman than me with a diamond sword and an unicorn? That doesn't even sound real" The oldest Stark boy said with his eyebrows up once again. He didn't know that in that second one of his little sisters was listening. And Sansa didn't even know how she got in the dirty stable but she didn't like it either. She cringed at the thought of another queen being that powerful just with her existence.
"Man but she has to be hot you know. I'd like to put my prick into something from a far away country. Exotic" Theon mumbled as his thoughts also danced around the queen. Or at the moment just princess.
"You'd like to put your prick in everything" Jon rolled his eyes at Theon trying to use the fact that he payed Ross several times to lift her skirt for him.
"I'm just very curious if all the stories are real and if the people from the isles are that different" Robb said out loud even if he didn't mean to share it with his company.
"I think that she just marries you because she can't rule her kingdom without you. A woman doesn't belong on a throne. No god ever meant that. It's against nature" Theon said with his cocky smile.
"Careful maybe the queen has super powers and hears what you say and as she steps in our courtyard she beheads you. Those words would be treasonous" Jon chuckled as he carried a saddle away. The stable was way cleaner and looked tidier than before.
"Tell me how you feel? Nervous? Excited? Tell me!" Alba said as they prepared their horses for the long ride.
"Here" She said as she handed Alba a sheep fur to attach to her saddle because it was oddly cold. Kaine was used to ride bareback because that was the best in the warmth on the isles. Now the cold wind made the islanders shiver badly and Kaine could almost hear the horses growing winter fur for the first time in their lives. She shivered in her thin clothing. A pair of pants combined with a tunic which was long in the back and short in the front not like one of her airy dresses which showed more skin than they covered that she wore at home. But no one cared on the isles because she was the princess. The north was different and she had to be different. No one would dare to touch her back in her home because they knew that they probably wouldn't make it out alive but here the people were barbaric and disrespectful to women. She knew that she had to act and keep her pokerface straight. Her mother made herself very clear what this visit meant and that it wasn't to be screwed up. She could so easily ruin her reputation. With one wrong glare or a sentence.
"Don't think to much. That gives you wrinkles" Alba laughed from her black horned horse causing Kaine to roll her eyes. The bastard really was annoying sometimes but it could've been way worse. She was just on edge. Alba had a nice very positive character like no one could ever turn off the light which surrounded her. She mounted her own unicorn and rode now on the head of the party. Alba came along probably to keep annoying Kaine. "And about what are you thinking? About your new lord?" She smiled but Kaine just shrugged as an answer. For their whole journey she banned the famous Robb Stark from her head but now he crawled inside. It was said that he was a handsome lad but she couldn't believe any of the rumors. She couldn't even crack a smile thinking about her future husband. No man ever came in her life except Arien and the little farrier boy she once knew a long time ago. Dark hair in sweet curls and light blue eyes like the sky itself but he died from an illness. And Kaine cried like a waterfall for weeks. Kaine knew that it was a mistake to lock herself in her chamber because she knew that there would be consequences someday. Her mother beat her up as she came out of her large room because she was thirsty. And a pair of her scars still reminded her of that day. The day she realized that it meant to be a queen. There was no place for weakness or for love.
