The day continued, but she couldn't help but think about what to pack? Or how to prepare? They were to leave less than twenty-four hours... She wondered if Nolan knew she was coming. Well, she had a moment of relief when she heard one of her friends were going. At least she didn't have to spend two nights with people she didn't talk to often.
Elowyn wandered the cabin after finishing her small task for the day. She collected some vegetables from the garden and had a basket full of them. As she was about to leave, she turned and ran into someone! Her basket fell out of her hands and all of the veggies scattered all over the ground.
"Oh, I'm sorry." When she turned around, Nolan stared back at her with an awkward, but sincere smile.
"Hey, just the person I wanted to see." He chuckled, but then saw the vegetables on the ground. "Let me help you with those." He dropped down and started collecting the veggies.
Elowyn knelt down in front of him and began putting the food into her basket. "So, did you want to talk to me about something? Or did you mean to crash into me?"
They both laughed. "Yeah, about that. I might be gone for two days or so. Nazir told me to leave with him for a little expedition. So, don't be hurting yourself because your favorite doctor won't be here." Nolan joked as he reached for a carrot. Just as he reached, Elowyn's hand grabbed the carrot before him. Their hands touched for a moment before he looked his hand away.
"Sorry..." She giggled. "But, don't worry, because I'm going with you. You're taking Nicolai to see the witch." Elowyn stood up as they filled her basket back up.
"Wow... Why? This could be dangerous." He slowly rose with his brows furrowing. Concern grew in his eyes.
"I have to make sure Nicolai is acting sane— I gotta make sure the beast hasn't taken control of him. Nazir says I know him closest other than the people he arrived with." She explained. "Also, you don't need to worry. I'm tougher than you think."
Nolan shook his head and laughed. "I know, my friend."
Soon after, they left the garden. Nolan said he had to go back and check on the med bay. Elowyn wanted to make good use of the vegetables. After a delicious stew later, the four had to prepare to leave soon. Nazir demanded that no time was supposed to be wasted. Not long after, they were off to see their witch friend.
