Dear diary,
I am sitting in Madagascar pondering the very meaning, and all the wonders, of life. The sophysticated and complacated man made aroplane flew us through the very sky to which we try to reach. When we land we are in paradise, yet the people who live there are not fortunate. They are at risk of danger every day. They have many small communities which are very much intollerant of eachother. When men work together they can build an areoplane, and soar above even the birds, yet they still seperate and struggle to survive, by choice.
I read silently. I'd called Berto and told him I was sick, as I sat on a beanbag in my bedroom, rapidly using up all of my tissues reading Talio's diary. I had read about three and a half years of his life when I found his trip to Madagascar.
Dear Diary,
I was walking between two mud-houses when the village snake-master (someone who stops the snakes hurting anybody) tapped my shoulder. He took me into his hut and showed me the baskets he often used to put the snakes in, until he could take them safely away from the village. Then he told me a secret,
"Being a Snake-Master isn't a proffesion," he said, "It's a type of person, a way of life and a powerful skill." and then he told me I had it, I always have and always will do. Then he became my teacher for the next three months. From this I have gained and lost alot, I have been hurt and rewarded for my hard work. I have a medal, a snake charm with green eyes. It's been good. This (almost) four years, but that's that. Good bye Diary,
Yours truly,
Talio xx
I smiled,
That's just him isn't it. Talio, bittersweet.
I made myself some lunch and read some more of my book, 'Magical Romance'. As I read I dissapeared into this crazy world, relating to far too much as I went along.
