Chapter 7 Forever Fall

General POV

Team JNPR, without Jaune, are all sitting in their dorm with Nora jumping on her bed, Ren tinkering with his gun, and Pyrrha just sitting on her bed.

Nora: How come Jaune gets home so late?

Ren: He's been rather scarce ever sense he's been fraternizing with Cardin.

Nora: (as she continues to bounce on her bed) That's weird. Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!

She says as she flips on her back and lands on her bed. And Pyrrha grows more irritated with each minute.

Pyrrha: I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing.

Her tone was obviously not a supporting one.

Nora: hmmm, I guess so.

But unbeknownst to them, Jaune was watching from outside the room the entire time. He closed the door softly until he almost had a heart attack from Ruby. *I sure as hell did, Thanks a lot Ruby ):<*

Ruby: Hey Jaune, long time no see. Did you lock yourself out again?

Jaune: Uh-h, n-nope! *holds up scroll* Got it!

Ruby: So, where have you been lately?

Jaune: I uh, *looks down and sighs before looking back at her* I messed up, I did something I shouldn't have and now Cardin's got me on a leash, Pyrrha won't even talk to me, I didn't even tell Micheal about this...I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea.

He lays his back on the door and slides down until he lands on his butt and looks down to the floor.

Jaune: I'm a failure...

Ruby: Nope.

Jaune: Nope?

Ruby: Nope, you're a leader now Jaune. You're not allowed to be a failure.

Jaune: But, what if I'm a failure at being a leader?

Ruby: *squints at Jaune before saying her answer* Nope. *she says as she sits by Jaune*

Jaune: You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this.

Ruby: Nope. Jaune maybe you were a failure when you were a kid. (He lowers his posture) You might even been a failure the first day we met. (His posture sinks some more with a slight groan). But you can't be one now. You know why?

Jaune: U-Uhh, because...

Ruby: Because it's not just about you anymore. You got a team now Jaune, we both do. If we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. We have to put our teammates first...(she stands up) and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader Jaune, and I think that can be you. Have a good night Jaune.

Ruby then walked into her dorm leaving Jaune alone. He stood up to enter his dorm until his scroll beeped, signifying that he had a message. When he checked it, he saw it was a voice message from Cardin.

Cardin: "Hey, it's your buddy Cardin. I know your busy with that dust project I gave you, buuuut Is gonna need you to get a bag of Rapier Wasps. (Jaune visibly shuddered from that) Make sure they got some REALLY big stingers. It's important so don't screw this up."

He closed his scroll and groaned at the irritating task given to him as he walked down the hall.

Micheal POV

We had arrived at the Forever Fall Forest, a large forest of red trees that you would see in the fall. It was quite a beautiful sight with red leaves everywhere you look, even on the ground. I had arrived in my full Praetor Suit and all of my weapons. Once we arrived, we were given a lecture about the Forever Fall Forest.
