"Another hot ass day in July," Drena said, walking into FACE with an attitude. "I'm literally sweating just from the parking lot."

"Tell me about it," Cassidy said. "Your 9a had to reschedule."

"Shit," Drena said. "I could have stayed in bed."

"Sorry, she just did it not too long ago."

"It's cool," Drena said, reaching for the stack of mail in her box. She smiled at Lacey who was talking back from her office before putting her attention back on the mail. "You're here early."

"Didn't even go home," Lacey said. "I'm so overwhelmed it don't make sense."

Drena frowned. "What happened? I thought all you had was Toni's thing right now outside of your regular stuff?"

"I got two ambassador deals with some pretty big boutiques and they want content so quick but everything is overdone. I been surfing and brainstorming all night."

"Chile," Drena said, eyeing Cassidy. "Why didn't you tell me to come kick her out?"

"She told me not to," Cassidy said, quickly. Lacey sucked her teeth.

"Snitch."

Cassidy smiled at her before she turned and walked back towards her office. She could hear Drena following her. "I'm going to take a nap right now."

"Good," Drena said, walking into her own office. Lacey sighed before she closed her door and turned the light off. It was sunny outside, but she pulled her blanket off the couch, wrapped herself in it and laid with her face towards the couch to block the sun. She was sleeping in minutes. She hadn't even realized how much she needed some rest until Cassidy was waking her up.

"What time is it?"

"You have 15 minutes until your 11a appointment."

"Thanks love," Lacey said, sitting up and wiping her hands down her face. She sighed as Cassidy walked out of the room, looking around for her small toiletry bag to brush her teeth and wash her face. Lacey went to the private bathroom she shared with Drena and laughed to see her inside, flat ironing a wig.

"Don't judge me, I didn't have time to do it at home," she said. Lacey shook her head.

"Who can I judge?" she said, pulling her toothbrush out. Drena laughed as Lacey handled her hygiene and stood up straight to look in the mirror. "I'm going to leave after this appointment."

"Good. I told Cassidy to make you some tea too so go get it before your meeting."

"Thanks, mom." Lacey teased before walking out. She went out front to grab her tea before heading back to her office. She frowned to see Jay in her chair.
