"I feel a little rush. I think I got a little crush on you. I hope it's not too much," Yuna
Cassidy sighed as she looked at the cost of a known acting class while waiting for FACE's official email account to load. It wasn't as if she didn't have the money, but with graduation approaching she wanted to be smart about what she spent. The last few weeks she had been doing a little too much and her budget was all out of whack.
She sighed, looking for other things to do while waiting for her money to let her breathe. She loved working at FACE, but she wanted to be an actress. She heard the ding of an email notification and looked to see someone wanted to book the media room. Cassidy smiled. Every time they got new clients she was excited for her bosses. They had been promoting hard.
"Package."
Cassidy hurried to finish the sentence she was typing before looking up at the Fedex guy with a polite smile.
"Does it need a signature?" she asked, looking around for the package. She frowned.
"No," he said. "It's a little heavy though. You need me to put it somewhere?"
Cassidy stood up to see it was a package from Mixed Chicks. "Oh no thanks. I'm going to open it right here."
She looked around for her box cutter in her desk. When she stood back up, she noticed the guy hadn't left.
"Is there something you need..." she looked at his name tag. "Jarell."
"Call me Rell," he said quickly, smiling. Cassidy blinked.
"Okay...Rell. Is there something else?"
He slowly smiled before shaking his head. "You have a blessed day, beautiful."
Cassidy jumped when she heard laughing as the door closed.
"I didn't even see y'all over there," she said, walking around the desk to open the box. "Professional sneakers."
"Well, we didn't want to interrupt him shooting his shot," Drena said and Lacey agreed.
"Please, Jarell comes in here every other day smiling and not saying nothing."
"So why you just act like you didn't know his name?" Lacey asked. Cassidy looked up and but didn't say anything. Drena and Lacey laughed before going back to fixing their morning tea. Cassidy blushed as she opened the package.
They were right. She did know his name. She had known it since he first came in on a new route a few weeks ago. He always seemed to flirt with her but never asked her for her number or anything. She didn't want to be obvious, but she wished he say something already. He had a smile that made her smile and a calm demeanor that seemed to float. She could tell they would vibe well if he just grew up and asked her out already.
